Spewak thinks The Goldbergs episode written a year ago and just aired mentioning the Savannah School of Art and Design means the writer listens to Cake and Cookies since he recently mentioned on C&C his kid is thinking of applying there.
Surprisingly, I agree, since the evidence is there: the writer (Steve Basilone) also decided to have ulcerative colitis and married a lesbian after listening to Spewak on D&M and TMOS. Unlike Spewak, he really committed to the bit, as he had his colon removed and his wife left him for a woman.

Unless the mapping industry is hard-up for talent, I can't imagine a company giving serious consideration to an applicant who has been out of the field for over a decade, even with recent community college courses. On top of it, based on what we've seen here, it's hard to imagine Mrs. Spewak leaving the best impression after an interview. She will be competing with 20-somethings from Virginia Tech. Just don't see it.

Today's opening break was great...a discussion of technical issues that arose while Pony and Robb tried to walk Mike through installing new equipment/software...It sounded like the biggest issue was Mike somehow deleting his downloads folder...Not the contents, the actual folder...Anytime Robb mentioned it, ,Mike was quick to shush him, saying he didn't want to bog the fans down with details...It appeared that Mike just wanted to bitch at Robb and Pony, but was too embarrassed to admit the real reason the install was so difficult was because he is a tech tard who had ZERO business attempting to do it himself

The first segment is worth the listen. At no time do I recall anyone suggesting a peek in the Recycle bin... But seriously, windows has been around for what, EVER? Who the fuck deletes the download folder? I mean you really have to try... And why do you need a wire to down load software?

when Rob is telling a mildly amusing anecdote about his father, and is so caught up in his fake laughter that he can barely squeeze a word out, and Mike (finally) tells him to stop laughing so he can tell it properly.
when Rob plays the Eddie Van Halen clip and Mike "brilliantly" points out that it sounds like "I Ran (So Far Away)," then proceeds to sing the tune of "Hungry Like the Wolf" by Duran Duran. Rob spends exactly zero time considering what Mike has said, because he's going to agree with him no matter what, and automatically tells him he "nailed it." He says he'll do a mashup of the two songs so "we can see where we stand." I'm actually looking forward to hearing that, because I want to know which songs he puts together, and how he manages to point out Mike's mistake without dropping his hero worship.
