I stuck it out. Stunned they did LESS prep than their regular show. "Jennifer" saying "anywho" a dozen times. Screaming Nicky on stage. Mike's airplane story (didn't like couple across aisle, instructed Carla to jump up as soon as possible to block their being first, Mike wedged himself ahead of them, just 'cause). Spewak's amazingly weak "best of" audio vault. Were I a klubber I'd have been so pissed to have paid for the privilege of experiencing that mess.

I honestly can't believe people paid $30 for THAT...I thought the EXACT same thing about the show prep...How can you do less than nothing? But they managed to do less than normal...talk about diminishing returns...
Plus many $$ for parking, drinks, etc. Worse, they had to hear Spewak say "come" in a joke about Oscar's premature ejaculation. (Decent and spontaneous joke if delivered by anyone else, I have to admit).
It was a lazy show. Cheap set up. A Power Point of baby pics? It was not funny. (I actually like the first Power Point at the State Theater. They put some effort into it.)
Mike Bitching about travel with Carla yelling from the back was awful. Her voice is evil. It screams "bitch"!
Best of Audio was so lazy just as the repetitive movie clips every day.
Big O was the only funny one. He was the only one that looked like he would be alive in five years.
I took METRO down. I drank outside in line with a McDs cup. I only bought one drink inside.
Nicky Diamond was actually funny with some life live. They should have kept him up there. He is an actual entertainer.
It, uh...I dunno, mixed bag. I listened through the "Hardball/Softball Questions" bit.
I do think both Mike and Robb do a little better with an audience, and maybe with a couple drinks in 'em. Both the audience and Robb and Oscar basically begging Mike to not talk politics was kinda funny. As was their needling of him for letting "Political Persuasions" wither after barely two episodes.
I haven't been listening for awhile, so I have no idea who the Nicky Diamond guy is. But I wasn't into it. (Asking the audience if they had questions about football for the guy? I mean...)
Kinda liked the Hardball/Softball questions bit. The time-wasting, unnecessary "audience participation" part was brutal, and the "softball questions" were dumb and uninteresting, but the hardball questions were on the nose and funny. Mike getting flustered with his hardball questions might've been one of the best parts of the show.
The fact that Dennis Murphy was in attendance and didn't get mic time was criminal.
Next time make it "Hardball Questions/Hardball Questions," don't worry about audience participation, swap out the football guy for Dennis Murphy, and ya might have a little sumthin sumthin there.
Oh, and Mike positively sandbagging the upcoming "President of the Round Table" BOAD event, while congruent with Mike's petty jealousy of BOAD (which can be funny, sometimes), was just such a dick move. Chad Dukes worships Mike O'Meara, regularly puts him over as a broadcasting legend. Mike getting pissy when someone brought up the BOAD thing on Tuesday night just seemed so, so petty.
OWS, Nicky Diamond is a bit. A Vegas tout. Played by Rob Maher of Rob and Joe. Points to TMOS for trying but Spewak's and Mike's participation sink it. I agree with Cary Spewak, who listens to Rob and Joe, not Robb and Mike and Oscar.
Seemed to take up an even larger portion of the show, but given the show content, probably shouldn't complain. Hope they were giving post-show snarlin's to make up for that abortion.

Agree re. Rob Maher being actual entertainer. Too bad he can't overcome his non-entertainer partners in the bit.
Great live show; it would have been epic if Mr Thickness could have flown in from Maui as a guest appearance, that would have been worth twice the ticket price, maybe they can negotiate with Mr Thickness for next year in Louisiana....say la ve
File this as either: "LFF can make anything about himself" or "The Year of LFF's Dead Mom Continues". Fuck it. How about both.
"I have this friend that I have spoken to on every presidential election day for as long as I have been able to vote. This is the first year that we can't have those wonderful discussions that I loved so much. She was so passionate about politics, and our chats were my favorite part of election day. Inevitably she would turn in too early to find out the winner, but we'd rehash the events the next day. This is my first election without my Mom, and I think I miss her more today than any day since she's been gone. She would have loved it, and hated it, just like so many of us. I hope Mary is watching the show somewhere, from a better and blessed place. I love you Mom."

When Mike sobers up and gets back on the show (6 days from now?), he will be unlistenable. His drunk mind will do something terrible like write another poem.

Perhaps one more episode of Political Persuasions would have tipped the scales, or if so many people hadn't stayed home because they were still in mourning over Mike's mom.

Meanwhile, on the other "shitshow", the world's Dumbest Millionaire, Dony G, and his dumb ass sidekick, Little Brained Joe, are complaining about the "arbitrary" assigning of electoral votes to states. They seem to think it has something to do with the physical size of the state... Really? Sounds like they'd be perfect guests for Political Persuasions...

Wow, I had to explain this same thing to a coworker(college grad) the other day. It amazes me.

So Mike admitted that they were getting an appearancestry fee for the mad hatter. It's been a while but there was a huge blowup in the klub over that, but now we know why SDM was forcing klubbers to buy a 4:00 buffet.

continually plucking his last remaining rubes...some things NEVER change
The Surgeon General has determined that listening to Mike rant about the election and what his mother would've said about it, may be seriously hazardous to your mental health and IQ

*blank look*
There we go, kiddos. Our Radio Gods.
Know how I'm always saying this is a dumb thread, about a dumb podcast, spun off from a dumb show? At least the other bastard child of The Don and Mike Show is equally retarded.
It's fascinating to me how seriously every pro-TMOS crusader takes the FFXU thread-- at the same time swearing that we're the ones obsessed with the thread/TMOS/Mike/etc.
Especially since half our posts admit to kinda liking a bit, or at least parts of a bit, or the idea of a bit. "Vitriolic hatred" indeed.
Listening to TMOS has the same impact on IQ as drinking tap water in Flint. For a guy who "never discusses politics," I'm confident Mike will be able to restrain himself from discussing Trump.
Mr Thickness Is Of The Opinion That The Babies Are Beautiful White Round Bouncy Brunette Delicious Sweet Babies Obsessing Over Other Mens Lives And Wives! !
Mike's takeaway from the election -- Clinton didn't have enough yard signs. Continuing his utter fascination with the power of the yard sign to sway opinion. How IS the TMOS nationwide yard sign campaign going, by the way?

wrong on both counts...I'm not Gerry, and I'm actually posting less...feel free to share any screencaps links backing up your ludicrous claims

you know, I've given up hope that you will ever be able to produce a link or a screencap backing up your ridiculous claims, so let's try a different tack...Why don't you link to the post where I hurt your feelings so bad you started obsessing over my every word...It's obvious THAT exists, why not share it with the class?
