The fact that there are four or five cousins in the Maine house and occasionally Mike and his sister are invited would indicate to me that an uncle or aunt bequeathed their house to their kids and that Mike's family can come up there to visit. It's not some LFF family estate. By the way, as a kid I spent occasional summers with family in Pennsylvania. That doesn't make me "from Pennsylvania."

Supposedly it was for LOLscar's MBA program. It was less a focus group and more a (retard)TED talk for mouth breathing klubbers. People are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to have to go to an event where Blob(b) talks about XLR cables.

A spot out of Mike's line of sight would be good. Take an angle so you do not make eye contact, but can view from peripheral vision.
Have iPhone or recording device at hand, but not in obtrusive fashion. If possible, close enough so we can get audio of the momentous occasion.
It'll be like a podcast with more people. How many times can Robb say, "You know what?", bray like a dying walrus, and interject pointless observations?

Last I remember, there was some doubt about whether there would be "a tab" which I guess means whether show staff would drink for free. Has El Spic nailed that down yet?
At this point, Carla and Carla's mom are coming (has anyone arranged for a babysitter?), Shannon and the Shaved Brigade are scheduled to appear, as well as all the staff (are the interns old enough to drink?)
No mention of the appearance on the Events section of the madfox website or THE SHOW'S WEBSITE. Can you believe this shit? Someone is not taking care of los details.

The point of a focus group is to gather information to improve a product or service, not to "sell something," like some time share bullshit.
Some tips for Oscar. If you are going to do a focus group, pay a stipend to your ideal customer base to get them to show up. Demonstrate the product for them. Listen to their constructive criticism. Improve the product accordingly.
Instead, they brought in examples of their current audience and tried to get them to buy shit.
Regardless, Oscar has six years of constructive criticism available for free on this site. If they just did the basics, they could improve the show exponentially for no money. I think it would involve Oscar scanning the thread for about a week and picking out common themes.
But what do I know. I don't run a poorly ranked podcast.

I'm still listening and reading here, but the new project is taking up the spare time I use to comment on the show. The only thing that I want to address right now though, is the comment about there only being 2-3 users here. Pay attention, and you'll find out in the next few weeks how many of us there are.

I will give Oscar credit, they have changed a few things based on constructive criticism. They no longer miss bogus shows (unfortunately it was too late, I canceled a few years back, and the lackluster content hasn't really been addressed). "Bookmark it please" went away the the next day after the actual terms and conditions of the amazon deal were mentioned here. Maybe it's Pony, but it's clearly not LFF or Blob(b). But yes, much like "price point" or any other handful of terms they sling around now that LOLscar's in the MBA program, they don't "get it". Based on what they've said, and what Klubbers have posted, that was not a focus group. Maybe LFF can give a (retard)TED talk on running a bar when he's in town next week. Though he might be too tired after a 4 day weekend.
