Carolla does it and it seems to work for him, of course he isn't giving his show away to a 3rd rate station in Iowa, so he's not attempting to create the illusion of being broadcast "live", he just turns out hours of quality content every week

The clothing change is baffling since Oscar and Rob don't change. It's like they intentionally do things half assed.

207 is like any other of these "public affairs" shows, they are hurting for guests/topics and will plant a camera in front of anyone if they talk long enough.
