how soon is too soon to get married?

being with someone for a year and living with them one month is not long enough to know if you are ready to throw your life away how do i get them to understand how crazy that is? even though friends of mine got engaged after only 5 months it is still crazy for me you can't really know someone..ever really

lol @ dumb the bitch...not gonna dump myself or him he pays my bills and is giving me a place to stay but getting married these days is dumb as fuck its just a piece of paper that basically says "you have my permission to sue me when its over" no thanks!

Getting married makes sense if you are the weaker partner, financially, because it gives you a claim to a share of all of the future earnings of your partner, even if you divorce.
