Finding someone on this website who's qualified to work in the Intelligence Community would be hard enough, but someone who's qualified AND has the security clearance? Hiring a unicorn would probably be easier.

I've got both covered, but would not dead end my career in IT.

I've often suspected headhunters do virtually nothing to vet candidates. Now I know.

BTW - I'm forwarding this link to the HR departments listed on your company's client list. I'm sure they will appreciate knowing this is where their fees are going.

LOL. You think Evans & Chambers is a headhunting organization.

You really are stupid.

No, seriously, you are dumb as a box of rocks.

You think GD is paying her to look for candidates?

Thanks for the laugh. I love seeing retards think they are smart.

Dude, there are dozens of companies around here that will fall all over themselves to hire someone that's already cleared. Seriously, with the continuous back-log on investigations, any company is better off hiring someone that's already been through the process than rolling the dice on a new recruit. Even after paying for the investigation and waiting a couple of years for the results, you're not guaranteed that your recruit will even get the clearance. Even then, you have to pay for them basically off overhead until the clearance comes in. Why risk it when you could recruit someone that passed the tests on someone else's dime and can get to work immediately?

There's another thread on here currently talking about the lurker/poster ratio. With all the lurkers present on here, there's a good chance that a few of them have high-level clearances. Asking the question costs nothing, so they're not out anything even if nobody worth hiring sees it.

Job shop.

Not much different from a headhunter.

Two kinds of prospects. Contract-specific hires and permanent consultants.

I see nothing in that notice that says "Show up here for your guaranteed job!" No harm in trying new waters for generating leads.

Nice. They'll likely appreciate that their recruiters are looking far and wide for new recruits. Of course, since we're talking about corporate HR weenies here, it's more likely that they're too busy working on implementing mandatory "Six-Sigma" programs for their company and demanding other meaningless certifications from their employees to give a shit about your e-mail.

Oh, no doubt. I wish I could get one of those fancy Clearance things that I've heard people talk about, but that's probably never going to happen. However, the idea that someone is looking for an employee to access top secret government information on Fairfax Underground is funny to me. Can you imagine if that guy got hired? In between organizing files on Area 51 and Obama's travel itinerary, he'd be calling someone a "fag" for not googling the best place to get sushi in Fairfax before posting the question on here. If they were deploying a new top secret computer system, I can imagine this guy saying that everything the designers say is bullshit and they only read a Wikipedia article before their presentation. Think about it. It's kinda funny.

Because there's no potential for a bored asshole on here to misuse someone's name, work phone number, or email, right?

I will concede that I'm very, very impressed that none of the 9 responses so far said "tits or GTFO." Either you people are showing remarkable restraint or this board has matured 20 years in the past hour.

You're making the mistake of assuming the ad is targeted at regular posters. It's more likely targeted towards lurkers and search engines... Anyhow, recruiters aren't typically renowned for their precision targeting of prospective employees. All they really care about are leads, referrals, and bonuses. So long as their recruit can tread water for six months at the new company, the recruiters are golden. Chances are the recruit will recognize he's over his head and jump ship anyways.

That potential exists everywhere. I could use the white-pages to dig up a huge quantity of numbers to crank call. Even if some 14yo calls up after school, it's pretty easy to determine that "My name is Richard Hertz, I go by Dick though " isn't likely a real candidate. If you answer ten of those to get one real candidate, you're getting a pretty good rate of return.

Eesh isn't online right now, at least not that I can tell. I'm sure he'll be around shortly with pics of turds, gore, or porn.

"A pretty good rate of return" Well, if it costs nothing to post here and they find a candidate who makes them a $20,000 commission for half a days work, yeah, Id say that pretty friggin good!

Good points, I guess. I'm not familiar with the culture but it makes sense. Still, I would not apply for a job I saw on FU. More than likely, there'd be someone waiting outside the building to call me a "fag" when I rolled up for the interview.

How is that any different from what happens when you roll up to work every morning?
