makes me uncomfortable when my parents text me

so does it make any of you uncomfortable like it does make me when your parents text you and they use text talk words like "ur" instead of "your" and "r" instead of "are"? I'm 16 and even I take the time to write the whole word always why can't your patents do the same? It makes me real uncomfortable for some reason when my rents use "ur" in a text. anyone feel this way ?

My son says the same thing, but he also doesn't like when any of his friends do it either. It's a bad habit and shows laziness. Of course, a lot of adults use the text-speak abbreviations because they can't text quickly. I even saw someone on who posted on Facebook with that garbage. After about the fifth word, I stopped reading. Too annoying.

How do you think they feel when you use "rents"?

That's it, give me that damn phone. I'm taking it out back and putting a mag of .45's through it, you can get your next text when you buy your own damn phone.

I know several kids who have iPhones in sixth grade. I think that is a little young for an iPhone.
