Police said Swingle struck a deer on the roadway with his 2004 Toyota Prius. Accident investigators said the force of the impact sent the deer airborne and across into the opposite lane of traffic.

The deer crashed through the front window of a 2000 Nissan Xterra, coming westbound on Route 9


Killed by a flying deer. Route 9 sucks ass. Narrow winding roads with elevated fields running on both sides. Perfect receipe to hit a deer. I would have thought a Prius was too much of a mamby pamby car to ever send a good sized deer flying with such force.
