Hey Amigos. Take a look at what is said. Face it, how many of us do anything but cut grass an clean hotel rooms? How many of our mamas are married? How many came into this great land *without* breaking the law? How many of us go to decent schools or do well in school? How many of our girls finish high school without popping out a few babies along the way? How many of us drive cars that don't look silly? My Dad hangs at 7-11 all day, comes home drunk, and beats me and my sister - and I'm not even sure he's my real dad. He sends money back to Mexico to some other family all the time.

OK so to answer to your stupid question I don't cut grass or clean hotel rooms. My father and mother have been married for over 30 years. We came to this country thanks to my dad's education (he was offered a job here with a green card for him and his family, we are now citizens of the US) My brother and I went to private schools. I didn't get pregnant in highs school, I drive a very nice car that I purchased with money I make working hard as an accountant. The only time my dad hangs out at 7-11 is when he has to go buy something and the supermarket is closed. My father does not drink or beat up my mother and never laid a finger on my brother or myself. I am pretty sure my father is my father. And we do not send money to Mexico either.

Wow, I can't believe what I'm reading on both sides. First off let me say I am Hispanic. I have been married for 15 years, 45 years old and have 3 kids. Some of my family has been here since the 1600's and the other, well were in our 4th generation. I don't consider myself stupid. I have a successful construction company and most of my employees are Hispanic, which are hard working family men. We all get along whites and Hispanics, it's a must otherwise you don't work for me. I believe it’s important to keep your culture, but believe it's even more important to speak a common language, English. History repeats itself as I saw a lot of decimation back in the 70 and 80's. My parent decided to become Americans and that's when we spoke only English, not Spanish. Please, if you want to be truly accepted, language is the key...
