I was born to be a Star!

LOL. Meade's latest tumblr vlog

http://meadeskelton.tumblr.com/post/15312373090/born-to-be-a-star

I have figured out why regular ‘ol jobs just don’t work out for me. Its because they aren’t what I should be doing! I was meant to be on stage, on film, or in front of a tv camera!! Why can’t I be doing that with my life , instead of making smoothies and flipping hamburgers? I just don’t know why the Lord it testing me so. Maybe its because Im not ready for those bright lights just yet. But I want to be so much!! I feel energized when Im stage (although a tad sick and nervous), and I love being in front of a television camera. I have sung on live TV twice in my life, why can’t I do it every day?

My life is not a bowl of cherries. Its more like a toilet bowl of berries! I want so much to be recognized so I won’t have to work crummy jobs my whole life. I’ll be 33 years old this Spring ? Thats practically middle aged! Why, oh why?? My youth is fading fast before thine eyes, and I haven’t a thing to show for it. I live in a daily fantasy world where I sit at home and watch episodes of “Zeke and Luther” and pretend that having a gig at the local watering hole is just one step away from Carnegie Hall. Last year I didnt get hardly any reviews on my EP release. I got did manage to get a phoney music interview. But I mean, really?? Do people think Im that gullible? I hear so many people on the radio, and I KNOW I can do better. I am very worthy of this. I guess its just up the Man Upstairs. Its hard not doing what I was born to be doing.

Things that bother me lately:

-Im overweight

-Im almost middle aged

-I am not a Star

- I am unemployed

-I have to work jobs that are beneath my skill and intelligence level

-People do not like my music even though its pretty decent

-My trust fund is running out

-My hair is not as thick as I would like it to be

-I have not had a date with a live female since 2002.

This sums up the career of John Wednesday, aka Jared Miller, who posts as MrMephisto on here.

Chuck, did you get Mephisto's permission to use that song? I only bring it up because you were so anal about copyrighting all your Youtube videos.

I subscribe to the Shepard Fairey School of Hypocritical Copyright Enforcement, which means I vigorously defend my copyrights, while I piss copiously on the copyrights of others, especially those from whom my works are derived.

In all seriousness, there are no fewer than three methods by which MrMephisto can have his song removed as the bedding track for my video:

1) He can submit a copyright claim to YouTube. Note that you cannot do this anonymously or pseudonymously, you must use your real name and address when contacting YouTube.
2) He can hire an attorney to send me a cease and desist letter, then sue me for the damages in court.
3) He can send me an E-mail asking me nicely to remove it.

However, he will do none of those things. The first because it would require him to reveal his real name, the second because he does not have the financial wherewithal to hire an attorney, and the third because it would require him to be civil and polite to me.

You've occasionally offered some rather odd legal commentary on this board, but this is quite sound and I daresay rather astute.

Which is to say, I was thinking pretty much the exact same thing before you posted this!

You can catch Jared "Mephisto" Miller playing free open mikes at Front Page in Ballston. I think it's Wed or Thurs nights. Call to find out!

Throw him some change, because he is unemployed now and trying to save up money for NVCC.

Meade is 33 and hes complaining that hes almost middle aged, lol. To me that is so young. Of course Im an old guy in my late 50s. I think technically middle aged is 37.5 years, (if you go by the average human life span for men), although socially, I would say its more like over 45 and over.

MrMephisto aka Jared Miller sucks just as much as Meade does musically. However, Mephisto is more of an asshole, hands down!

Out of all of them, Meade has a much better voice. He did write "We talk in circles". Meade should stick to covers. He could actually make it decent if he did some Elton John tunes. His piano isnt bad either.

Meade's music is not that great, but it works if he mixes it with comedy- sort of like an Andy Kauffman type thing. Seeing his videos, he does have a charisma that is very rare . Straight up music is kinda boring, but performance art is much more fun and entertaining. Better than the same 4 guys with a guitar kinda thing or the throngs of guys with acoustic guitars singing about girls all the time.

This thread is almost 10 years old. If he wasn't so arrogant and entitled at that time he would have worked his way up from bag boy by now. Most everyone starts at the bottom when they enter the workforce. Meade doesn't just get a "pass" because he avoided that part of life until he was in his forties.

Maybe if Meade actually followed through on those jobs 10 years ago, he wouldn't be asking "paper or plastic?" or "Do you want fries with your order?"
