All the lonely people

There is ALWAYS someone on this site, no matter what day, time or time of day. There's always someone here. You'll never be alone if you're on FFU all day\night. No wonder so many of you losers do it!

Registered name is "Forever Alone" who comments on never being ALONE on FFXU because someone is always here, therefore anyone who posts here is never alone like "Forever Alone".

And somehow he/she equates this to being a "loser", while posting here themselves - roughly 100 times in a month.

Odd way of reverse thinking/projecting happening there...

1) This name is to make fun of those who are Forever Alone like you
2) I never said anything made anyone a loser
3) I never said I wasn't a loser
4) You are the biggest loser
5) You are forever, alone. Not, Forever Alone.

This should be fun...

--- Untrue, but you can project as much as you wish.

> 2) I never said anything made anyone a loser

--- Can you read and comprehend the English language?

Read your words and cross off #2 - "You'll never be alone if you're on FFU all day\night. No wonder so many of you losers do it!"

> 3) I never said I wasn't a loser

--- Who did, defensive are we?

> 4) You are the biggest loser

--- I have never been on TV, so this is impossible.

> 5) You are forever, alone. Not, Forever Alone.

--- This is just silly and makes no sense - you said yourself that it is impossible to be alone on FFXU.

End of todays lesson.

Hey dude, how was your Christmas? Lonely?

Remember we had this same discussion the night before thanksgiving when I was drinking?

Postpoppunk is a fag. And by fag I don't mean "homo" I mean "fag" as in you, Postpoppunk, are a fag. Just like your hero Ian MacKaye. Fag. Not homo. Fag.

Postpoppunk just seems like an angry pragmatic to me, deff not a fag tho, not even a homo fag.

Right, because a teenager from California who brought the surf/skate/punk culture to DC, co-founded the "hardcore" music genre, and served as a catalyst for a social youth movement that espoused personally accountable clean living for generations to come is a total fag!

He's from DC, not CA.

I think he might've lived out there for a few years while he was in grade school but he's definitely a local guy.

I meant to say he brought the surf/skate/punk style back from California.

back from CA? No, he is homegrown, as was the whole straight edge/emo genres. Damn man, get your shit straight already. The DC hardcore scene was unique and is very different from the music coming out of CA at the same time.

Yes, it is my understanding that the straight edge and emo scene began in the dc and rva areas in the late 90's - early 2000's; but have their roots much earlier than that in punk subgroups.

You're about a decade+ off. The straight-edge & emocore stuff happened in DC in the 80s. By the early 90s the indie label scene gave birth a lot of bands dubbed as "emo".

Hey, Rollins, you Bullis flunkie; freeze this video @ 2:13 if you don't believe Ian brought the CA surf/skate/punk style back from CA ( he got everyone into skateboarding). In other interviews, Ian talks about bringing back the "slamming" style back to DC after a west coast tour because everybody was still "POGOing" in DC and then later giving it the "edge"

Both coasts borrowed back and forth...and neither scene was totally homogeneously homegrown. CA took punk from the east coast, we took their "slamming" and they took straightedge from DC. Emocore started in DC in the mid '80s with bands like Graymatter, Embrace, and Rites of Spring after DC hardcore died.

You don't know what the fuck you are talking about, so shut the fuck up!

If you were there you would know what the acronyms WC, FFT, SHC, SSC, ASC, and WPC stand for...

Why don't you just play us some of your looped guitar and programmed electronic drum tracks accompanied with your fairy/J.Bieber sounding vocals?

haha. i know, isn't it awesome? although I suppose it is timeless, in that the music is as shitty today as it was 30 years ago.

I can't play the video on my phone, you'll have to post a witty description of it so I can LOL.

Frisky's talking about the second wave of U.S. straightedge hardcore ('88 thru mid '90s) and the hipster/emo2.0 thing ( mid to late'90s), before it became the gothed up screamo/emo3.0 of the post millennium.

Emo of the '90s was more fashion centered than music oriented. Bands like Weezer and Guy from Fugazi were sporting the emo look that later became known as "hipster" when emo went goth/screamo (Weezer didn't sound very emo and Fugazi hated being labeled that term).

That was sorta the intent of my picture post. The emo stuff in the 80s was rooted in punk rock / hardcore. It was raging but lacked the typical political, fuck-the-establishment punk lyrics. And bands matured into the 90s, realized they had more talent than re-hashing the same three-chord punk songs over & over. But then about 10 yrs ago the term got co-opted by annoying goth kids with bad haircuts. Your comment hits the mark- it's now a fashion statement and not a genre of music.

not really the phone's fault, my connection dropped out and I hit the post button a few times. usually Cary's forum script prevents re-posts but for some reason it allowed all three to go thru.

Music genres are too complicated to keep track of. And the longer it's been since high school the less I give a shit about what fits in what genre. And I've never been a member of any "subculture" as far as I know, so I never got tangled up identifying myself with any movement. I like punk for it's fuck-off attitude. I like prog rock for its musicianship. And I like [good] heavy rock because it rocks. And I like whatever else I like, jazz or space music or psychadelic or whatever.

Genres are fun to argue about but some people get all red-faced like a smacked ass over something that stopped mattering decades ago. No time for that. I have grown-up stuff to worry about. Best I can do is wasting some time on this fucked up website once in a while.
