I'm also a huge fan of Opera Mini, but unfortunately the opera-mini.net domain simply generates too much spam and abuse to leave unblocked here. I've never permanently banned opera-mini.net, but routinely ban it for 30 days when abuse occurs. When the ban expires the abuse and spam starts up again after just a few days, leaving me with little choice but to ban the domain again.
I wish that they set their proxy exit-node IPs to something geographically based, or assigned individual installs to a specific exit-node IP, or even used a set of exit-node IPs for each cellular carrier, but unfortunately they do not.
The hostname you provided, s35-12.opera-mini.net (141.0.10.42), is valid only for that launch of Opera Mini. If you quit and restart the program you'll have an entirely different IP address. Unfortunately the spammers and abusers know this too, leaving me with no choice but to block the entire opera-mini.net domain to combat the abuse of a few.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If I can ever get a real reddit or Slashdot-style moderation system in here I can eliminate the IP address bans completely.
Thanks for the (quite valid) question/request.
