Ron Paul is the only candidate that has a chance of reversing the current economic situation.
If Aristotle is correct about people deserving the government they get, then he would not be elected. It is because most of the voting population are drooling, barely-cognisant morons that cannot articulate a thought that was not spawned by the television set that they will (s)elect* someone else.
*It can be argued from recent history that the elections are so rigged that the elections are instead selections.
