WTF? Fairfax Hospital shows wait times for the ER on it's home page?

Did Disney buy Inova and I missed it?

Once I've severed my hand from my body I always rush to the computer and check the wait times for the local hospitals. I then decide if it's really worth the trip.

1. If I wanted an answer that badly, there's a thing called email I could use to ask the fucking hospital, isn't there?

See, soylentgreen, you appear to have the right idea behind appropriate use of the emergency department. Not everyone shares that understanding. Sometimes when your child has a paper cut you want to know how long you'll have to wait to incur a $2,500 bill to have a medical professional to put a bandage on.

But there are, in fact, legitimate uses for the wait time listings such as a broken bone that wouldn't get high priority if it were busy. I'd shop around, so to speak, to see where I'd wait the least amount of time.

Why don't they just stop playing games and build a clinic on the property? They could still charge $2500 and clear out the ER.

Second question: Are they really that busy on Gallows Road? The wait times always seem to be a lot longer than any other location. I'm not implying that they are dragging their feet in there. But it surprises. I would have thought the other hospitals would be busier considering the populations surrounding them.

It's Haunted. Named in 1812, for the massive gallows that hung all the native indians that the americans caught and decided to hang for treason to the english overlords. Many indians invoked ancient curses upon their deaths and that is the reason people seem to have more "mishaps" on Gallows than on other roads. It was paved over several cursed indian burial grounds.
