when I was a boy, my Dad threw an old broken toaster, a Big Gulp, and a hot-dog at me. All on different occasions. The hot-dog is the only one that hit me.
my brother one time threw the blade from an old lawn mower we found in a ditch by the ravine near our house at me. It missed me and landed in the ground. My mom once threw an encyclopedia at me. It was "M". That one did hit me; the corner of the book hit me right in the ear.
I have thrown a He-Man action figure (Man-E-Faces) at my brother, an old can of bolts at my sister, and a metal folding chair at my brother. The metal folding chair did hit him, in the ankle, and he needed stitches.
what kinds of things has your Dad or anyone else in your family thrown at you?

another time, when we were at McDonald's, my brother sucker-punched me so hard right in the stomach that I fell down and couldn't breathe for two or three minutes. My Dad just grabbed my by the wrist and dragged me out of the restaurant and we went home.

once when my grandparents were over, we were having Popeye's chicken for dinner, and my grandma was making me so mad that I just picked up my piece of chicken and threw it as hard as I could against the wall in the living room and then ran out of the house.

one time me and my brother found an old rifle in my grandparent's closet and got our parents to agree to let us keep it, but only if we didn't horse around with it at all. By the end of the night when our grandma and grandpa were leaving, my brother and I started arguing over who got to hold it and he took the butt of the rifle and hit me in the face with it. Our Dad took the rifle, gave it back to our grandpa, and they left.

A new kid in the neighborhood, Howard Fineman, agreed to let us rub the carbon paper on his face, turning it a very dark, very hard to remove shade of blue.

Howard Fineman moved into the neighborhood late, relatively speaking, around age 9 or 10, after our gang had grown up and hung out together from age 4 or 5.
I remember he invited us all to a birthday party around the time he moved in, at which he performed magic tricks. It was all rather odd, and didn't seem to fit the climate or sensibility of our lives.
He was not an overt misfit, but a quietly strange person. I don't know if he was trying to brown-nose us, so to speak, in agreeing to be carbon-papered, or if he had some other strange motive. Because there was something a bit odd about him.
A few months after the carbon paper incident - his parents spoke to my parents, and I was rebuked* - I was hanging out with him for some reason, and we were walking somewhere, a park or something. He said he had to pee. He walked up a slope of grass next to the sidewalk, towards a tree, and I sat down at the base of the slope, facing away from him, waiting for him to finish. Just looking around. Then I felt a splattering on the back of my head and neck. It took a few moments for it to register. I think I looked straight up at first, thinking there was something dripping on me from the tree branches. Then I turned around and he was staring at me, urinating on me - continuing to urinate on me. I jumped up, shocked. He had an odd smile on his face. Somehow not a "getting even" smile (for the carbon paper, presumably), rather there was something "off" in his affect, in the way he was staring at me.
I walked home through the summer heat with the pee dripping down my back, and don't recall that I ever spoke to him again.
*In defending myself, I emphasized, truthfully, that we didn't force it on. We asked him if it would be okay. We asked him if he was SURE it would be okay. And he kept saying yes, yes, yes, and we finally did it.

we used to hang out at Marcus Sherinden's house because he had this huge basement with air hockey and a pool table and a big TV and all sorts of cool stuff. But we all thought he was kind of weird. He was one of "those" kids......his parents were really into 'family values' and S........I remember the look of shock on Kenny Allen's face when Marcus told us we couldn't watch The Simpsons on his big screen TV because his parents said they 'espoused poor family values'........Marcus went on to become a doctor, I think. As far as I know, Kenny Allen lives in Arizona now. Kenny Allen got kicked out of the Sherindens' home permanently when he set fire to a big plush stuffed bear toy in the basement during a sleepover. Kenny liked fire.
