got invite from the stepbrother to come on down. Family hadn't had Tanksgiving together ,which had been yearly ritual, since his stepmother my mother died nearly 10 years ago. seemed to always have an excuse each year since. figured around year 5, hey he really doesn't care for me. well this year get invite but then found out it was more about gaining control of some property we own together and he pretty much was wanting me to just give my share too him. fuck it

I will be alone for Thanksgiving. I am trying to figure out a way to get through it!
My husband is in Afghanistan, my son is in the military and my daughter married a jerk who can't leave his Mommy.
I have invites to go to friends days, but they have their own traditions based around family. Maybe I will cave in and crash someone else's Thanksgiving. I will probably end up finding a place to volunteer. It just may be the richest Thanksgiving holiday ever. But, it is stressful!

My kids are grown and my wife passed away 3 years ago. I am going to sit alone in my basement with a case of sam adams and a couple turkey TV dinners. I will watch football and ice station zebra. I have the entire 4 day weekend off of work. Maybe I will go to Charlestown casino on Friday after Thanksgiving get a room and pay a west virginia slut for a hand job.

I would be home alone as well. I am going to work through the holiday so I do not just sit at home and think about it. I also don't go out of my way to eat traditional holiday foods. Too many good memories are evoked by the simple aroma of certain foods that I cannot deal with right now.

My wife is helping her sister recover from a fall so she is out of town. My daughter is working in London so she will not be here. I WILL be spending the 4 day weekend with my beagle. We are going to lay around the house like bitches and I am going to drink a ton of beer and cook chicken and burgers on the grill. If your freezer is cold enough the frozen dinners are still fine. Frozen food can literally keep for millennia. Thirty thousand year old Mammoth meat dug out of the permafrost is still delicious. The key is wrap things well to prevent freezer burn. I am still eating frozen and packaged/canned food that I stocked up before Y2k and it tastes fine almost 25 years on.

You had it easy. I spent ten years in La Sabaneta prison in Venezuela. I witnessed over 50 inmates die from diseases, another 21 got murdered by guards or other inmates. I killed approximately 8 inmates myself just to stay alive as they were trying to kill me. We had to fight for food and a rat was a delicacy. We used severed fingers and toes from dead prisoners as bait in traps to catch rats to eat.

I got so drunk yesterday that I pissed myself by 4pm and then passed out. I woke up around midnight and changed out of my piss stained clothes and went back to sleep. That was a pretty goof thanksgiving overall.
Now I am going to cook some bacon and eggs before starting in on a fresh case of Natural light.

I used to spend 3 nights at the Wolftrap motel for Thanksgiving but they tore it down. Looks like the Days inn in Dumfries again this year. I cant be home when my family visits due to restraining orders.

Or at least stay at an Embassy Suites. They are reasonably priced and the breakfasts are great. You can meet allot of horny women at the nightly happy hours. Drury hotels are good for socializing over the free food also

I have to drive to Nashville on Wedensday and spend two nights at my in-laws house. The house will be packed with people and I have to sleep on a old sofa-bed. I would give up a testicle to be home alone or even in a motel room alone.

My wife left me because she found me in bed with the babysitter. I didn’t know she was coming home early. I’ll be alone this Thanksgiving for the first time. But I really won’t be alone because I will be playing Meade Skelton music very loud all day and imagine the legions of my fellow Meade fans doing the same, so I will feel kinship with them. You’re never really alone if Meade is in your heart.

My office closed at noon today and we do not return to work till Monday. My dog and I are going to lay around and drink beer and smoke weed for the next 4 days. We are having a turkey breast with a box of stove top stuffing tomorrow. We will have steak and cheese subs delivered on Friday. I am not leaving the basement till Monday morning.
