Liberals Pay Protestors to Attend Occupy DC Rally

http://dailycaller.com/2011/10/06/organizer-admits-to-paying-occupy-dc-protesters-video/

I mentioned this yesterday I think, and it is a very common practice on the Left to seek the help of rent-a-mobs.

Groups have been doing this for years. Shaprton and Jackson routinely use temp agencies as do unions, who ironically pay the temp workers non-union wages.

Therer is a group in the city called Mid-Atlantic Union of Carpenters or something similar who go from non-union jobsite to jobsite with a rented group of sign wavers who beat on 5 gallon buckets and chant. Hillariously, NONE of the group are union members or even carpenters. If any one of the group could even read a tape measure, I would be highly surpised- these are literally people on day passes from homeless shelters and halfway houses cluttering up the streets for a paltry day rate and the manipulative purposes of corrupt unions.

Is the "occupy" movement anything but an astro turf blend of gullible college geeks, corrupt unionists and movement mercernaries looking for a days work?

Obama gave the movement a little shout out in his presser yesterday (!)

BFD, the money thrown into the Tea Party by the Koch Brothers and the free publicity provided by Fox News dwarfes any of these efforts by liberals. Id wager as many phony crowds were provided to most the tea party protests also.

George Soros, insider trader and financial manipulator, backs a lot of events like this.

Does the Tea Party hire warm bodies to make their crowds bigger?

Does the Tea Party go to temp agencies or homeless shelters to get warm bodies to hold signs or support issues they dont even understand?

IF they do, show me.....

Financial support for political movements comes in many forms. To subdivide into specific categories just plays, in this case, into the Republican talking points. A more typical Republican scenario would be a business that requries its employess to donate to Republican candidates. Money is money and Republican sources of money are boundless compared to Democratic sources.

And the original teabaggers were astroturfed by Dick Armey & FreedomWorks, funded by the Koch brothers.

I had an interview with a conservative PR firm that specifically offered paid protesters to show at your events. Yes, they do it.

Also this.

No one is arguing that NO group gets a little outside help to get started. Recruiting bums who know nada about the cause they are waving signs for is something else entirely.

So do the Tea Party hire the homeless and people from temp agenices?

I don't think they need to. They have Fox news to inflate their numbers.

Is this little group the best you can do? Why isn't the "liberal" organizer identified? Is he a plant by opponents to the movement? You're desperately trying to blow it out of proportion. Why not jump on the students who are offering free rides to friends to go to the rally? The whole point of a rally is to raise greivances, disseminate information, and bring more people into the movement.

Wouldn't surprise me if the "paid" protestors at the Tea Party rallys were event organizers who set up and broke down the stage or other equipment. Who also happened to support the cause.

Why is it so hard to believe that there might be some people paid to attend some Tea Party rallies but so easy to believe that "liberals" do it?

Common trick and isn't new. Companies used to give their employees "free time off" if the employees would show up at events for causes/politicians they supported.

Another trick is to line up some popular musician/athelete/whatever for events knowing that large numbers of people would show up to see the celeb who didn't give a crap about whatever the cause was.

WingNut,

How much would it take to get you to go down there and protest for a day? Would you do it for $500? 250? What's your price?

It also wasn't the Tea Party, just a Republican trick, if you want to get technical. I'm just demonstrating that Republicans aren't above doing, and indeed have done, all of the underhanded things you and your ilk accuse Democrats of doing all the time. Indeed, one could argue they do it more. But that's not convenient for you to accept.

They do a lot of underhaned things, but have they been busted for paying rally attendees?

I said earlier I know personally and specifically that this is a service that Republican PR groups offer. I linked the Brooks Brothers riot earlier as well. Did they hire homeless people to come to that protest? Probably not, but they did pay people.

This isn't really much of a "bust" here either, as much as you would like to make it look like no one there was a nonpaid volunteer/advocate.

You reference an obscure incident where the article seems to imply there were "paid staffers" but offers no reference.

If these people were supporters who were working on campaigns or issues and this was part of their duty thats one thing. If they were part of a mercenary rent a mob who didn't even understand what their signs said, that is another thing.
