Poll: Romney, Perry score better on economy than Obama

Wait! Are people trying to say that Obama is just no very good at this kind of thing? I don't believe it..


Voters believe Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Texas Gov. Rick Perry would better handle the economy than President Obama according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.

49 percent of voters surveyed say former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney would do a better job with the economy than the president. 39 percent would prefer Obama's approach.


When matched up with Perry, 45 percent say the Texas governor would do better on economic issues with 42 percent backing Obama.

I have also heard of something called "serious and competent candidates," which from the available choices consists of Romney.

Edit: Yes, a primary is a good thing, but many (most) of the candidates running and being invited to the debates have no business being taken seriously as a presidential candidate, yet here they are.

Herman "the rent is too damn high" Cain is a farce, who's only popular right now because he is a black candidate. And Rick Perry is a former Al Gore supporter who wants free college education for illegals. Romney would be a great candidate if it weren't for his socialist Romneycare health plan.

The only real conservative choice with any chance of beating BHO is Bachmann.

Keep in mind the poll participants were the same Americans who thought it was okay to drain the inflated equity out of their homes to take a vacation and take out an ARM on a $600k house while making $30k a year. They might not be the best ones to judge these kinds of things.
