ha, that is funny. We had one of our ceiling fans shake loose one night. I woke up at 2 in the morning and heard a fast, loud banging noise downstairs then suddenly CRASH!! You could hear glass shattering and it sounded like someone kicked in our front door, I was terrified. We finally went downstairs, and saw that out ceiling fan and shook itself right out of the ceiling and came crashing down onto our glass coffee table. The loud clapping must have been the fan blades slapping into the ceiling as it was wobbling. It nearly scared my husband and I to death. It was a pretty new fan that we had stolen out of a hotel room in Ocean City, my husband installed it but I guess he didn't do too good of a job. I certainly gave him an earful after that whole ordeal.
