I Have A Better Idea

Now that the government is broke and need the people to give them more money to spend. I say that all politician take a payroll holiday for one year. They are all very rich and can afford it. The simple can do the job because the love it not the money. I think this would show the people of this country and the world that they are serious about fixing the problem of spending.

That only works with sound currency and a full set economy financed by cash, surplus wealth, and savings. We have none of those things today.

Or we could just take everyone's entitlements away.
This country operated just fine before all these bullshit entitlements.
As recently as 1999, our federal budget was only about $2 trillion.
Now it's almost double that at about $4 trillion.
Um, I was alive during 1999.
I don't remember seeing hordes of poor people straving to death on the streets.
Yet if we were to slash government spending in half to 1999 levels, the Left would go into full riot mode.

This country operated just fine before all these bullshit entitlements.
