how are you celebrating the 9/11 accident?
Posted by: Mr. Misery ()
Date: September 03, 2011 01:28AM

so it's been 10 years since the 9/11 thing accidentally happened not on purpose. How are you going to spend the day? The wife and I are thinking of heading up to the Poconos for a day at the lake. When that plane hit the building, I laughed so hard milk shot out my nose. Then I realized people were in the building. And then I got sad. But then I realized that it's okay, because people make mistakes, and that's O K. All in all, 9/11 was a fun day for me and my then fiance. We watched the news coverage and laughed and laughed and laughed. Accidents happen.....what can you do but laugh? When the second plane hit, I turned to her and said, "Someday we'll look back at this and laugh".

Happy 9/11 everybody.

I'm going to punch one out of every three Muslims that I see since 1 in 3 believe in terrorism. Personally, I believe that poll is a little out of whack and think it's more like 2.5 out of 3 believe in terrorism, but that's just me.

It wasn't Christian vs Muslims. It was a political act
Against US policies. You fuck with Muslims and you're fucking with the people who can help stop acts like that.

US policies and Religion have a strong role also. They have no qualms to bomb Christian churches or murder Arab Christians in their own countries, which we saw last Christmas in Egypt. As far as Jews, they hate them especially for their religion and attitudes, policy too, but mainly for belief.

I'm going to remember the horror of people jumping to their deaths (at least 200 people jumped to their deaths that day)

and try not to be filled with rage.

miz -

to create a post like that, even for the thrill of getting reactions...its just sick. you actually put time into writing and finding those clips. is that an indicator of the quality of your life? you must not have much, nor care enough to try. it really appears that since you know your life does not have much meaning that this is how you get a little power for yourself.

happened on this site when an article about a HS friend was posted on here and read some of the other posts including yours. I have become more and more disgusted, and now its time to just stop reading anything that has your name on it; thats what it has come down to - your name means nothing.

its funny - we're probably not too much different in age, but light years apart in how we view the world. there was nothing funny about that day ten years ago, and no one with good consciensce will ever laugh about it. and i completely realize that you feel safe sharing your nonsense in the privacy and security of this forum - i'm sure in public you lack any conviction like you do here.

i will give you credit for one thing, in all truth - i thank God profusely after reading your posts that i never allowed myself to let down my family, friends, employees and others by giving up on life how you have. i'll pray for you, whether you want the prayers or not, but i honestly really feel bad for seeing such a pathetic life play out in this forum like yours. good luck.

Those are probably the most disturbing images from that day. I don't know if I could have done that.

Personally, it still angers me and makes me wish we had just nuked the fuck out of the entire middle east instead of getting into some decade long quagmire that's bled this country dry. But I know that's just irrational.

I think it is purely instinctual and irrational at that point. Your primal brain chooses to flee the heat of the fire, even if it means falling to your death. As advanced as we think we are, in the end we are animals like any other animal.

Yeah you would likely do it. It's a choice between certain death you are facing immediately and certain death in the abstract, but only one involves action.

I bet in hindsight Will Smith regrets his decision to dance on the falling 9/11 tower.

Fuck you, Mr. Misery. Only a social, emotional, and mental cripple would post something like this.

I'm sure that's the reaction you're looking for, but if you really need everyone to reaffirm what a loser you are, I'm sure people will be happy to oblige.

The fact is, Mr. Misery is delusional. He thinks nothing of his activity of posting such garbage. If he wouldn't care if a car were to hit him in the crosswalk, he certainly wouldn't care about how people react to the crap posts that he makes.

I don't think he's delusional or crazy. I just think he's trying to get the attention on here that he craves IRL. I don't like him, but I still feel bad for people like him. I can't imagine what it's like to be so shut off from the rest of the real world.

Who hasn't hated the Jews at one time or another? I confess I don't know enough about Arab Christians to comment on how political the violence is against them.

these comments are actually very true, Joe Fixit, and I'm not even kidding. Peach. I really want attention in real life, but I'm always too afraid when I get it, so I retreat and isolate myself, while still wanting attention; the wanting, the retreating, the wanting, the retreating. It's a vicious cycle. What you have surmised is true. I'm honest enough to admit it.

having said that, when those people jumped out of the burning buildings, I about bust a gut. It was the funniest, most hysterical thing I have ever seen in life ever. It was the best day of my life. I love 9/11. It was a great thing to happen to this country. It was awesome. Totally radical and tubular. 9/11 rocks.

Mr. Misery, YOU are not right. By that, I mean there is something terribly cross-wired in your brain. If you don't want to enjoy the freedoms that we have as Americans, then, please by all means, consider leaving our fine country. Perhaps, the Al Queda might want to recruit you.

You could have so much potential, yet, your life is such a waste.

I know who Bill Gates is. You know why that bothers me? Because there are so few Bill Gates's in the world that you can easily name them and know what they look like. That says everything. There is a very select few who own 90 percent of the wealth. We know who they are. We know their names. I dream of living in a world where nobody knows the name Bill Gates. But Bill Gates is America. He enjoys the freedoms.....whatever's left over, or so goes the theory, will trickle down to us. Doesn't the idea of wealth "trickling down" to you just make you feel all warm and fuzzy? A "trickle". What a lovely and magnificently accurate word to describe it.

Mr. Misery,

That might be how you perceive YOUR life to be. People in America don't have to feel like victims or that they're a result of "trickle down" wealth. Instead, one can easily focus on creating anything they want. They don't have to sit back with the attitude that good fortune and wealth may never come to them. What if Bill Gates had that attitude? He would have never gotten to where he is today.

What I'm simply trying to state is that if one doesn't try, then they'll never achieve. Have you ever succeeded at anything in your life? If so, did it motivate you to try harder or push harder to get ahead?

Tomahawk, you're nearly as bad as Mr. Misery in your thought process. I've seen you accuse people of sitting around playing video games all day, when you know nothing about their lives.

Maybe, you're the troll. Have YOU thought about that?

the best way to win any argument, ever, is to say "those men who went into those buildings on 9/11 were heroes". Or "I support our troops".

there's no such thing as heroism. There are no selfless acts. Think about this: the people of New York, and many parts of the world in fact, were all nice and warm and fuzzy towards each other for about 72 hours after 9/11. And then there were ten years of.........this. And it's still going on. Cut the baloney, mister. Let's quit memorializing everything and everyone 9/11. It's a smokescreen. What's really going on?

I'm just gearing up for the onslaught of false patriotism. The fun. The festivities. Pony rides for the kids. As you all know, I am a dedicated Non-Observationalist. I don't believe in the observation of anniversaries, holidays, birthdays, memorials, special occasions of any kind. To pretend like one day is more important or 'special' than any other is uniquely human. September the 11th, 2001 is not the day to remember. The thing to remember is every day from here on out. That's what's important. Today. That's when shit really happens.

or, you can just slap that stupid little plastic american flag on your car and forget about everything by September 13th or so.

I'll be sure to tune in to the huge 10 year anniversary gala on every television channel... It's a scramble for the ratings... Which channel will come out on top? Who's got the best 9/11 tribute coverage? Who will have the most captivating guests? Who will have the best commercials? I wonder if the cost of airing a commercial goes up on Sept. 11th..

We will never forget... as long as remembering is so profitable...

Tim McGraw, Nelly and Gary Numan are slated to play the 9/11 Pepsi Halftime Show.

Let's make the gala celebration/commemoration bigger and better every year. Never forget. Bald eagle with a single tear.

I say forget. Forget it. That would really piss the terrorists off.

I just hate big events and pomp and circumstance, that's all. And false knee-jerk patriotism (is there any other kind?). I hate hoopla.

I'm with you. Nuke 'em and turn all that sand into glass. With so many of the people in the middle east having terrorist tendencies, we need to put them down ... once, and for all. If we don't solve this situation, our troops will keep getting killed and we'll have fears that we don't need to live with.

Let America be the supreme super-power that we are !!

As I sit here pondering the shape of our nation today 9/11/11 I am saddened and quite frankly discusted with road we have taken! I remember the feeling of pride and patriotism shared by all in the days and months after the attacks and I believe we can be great once again if we are willing to work together and understand that WE are AMERICA and that government works for US. Truly look within yourself over the coming months and make your personal decision on how this country should look in the next 10yrs, free and prosperous or dependent on other nations to survive! I CHOOSE FREE AND PROSPORUSE as intended by the great men and women whom sacrificed, labored and died to build this country. So if you feel as I do stop bitching and do something about it because your voice counts. Those who choose DEPENDENT surely are!

Personally, I would be glad if this is the last anniversary we spend so much time remembering 9/11. The paranoia over 9/11 nearly destroyed America over the past decade. It has divided the country and nearly bankrupted us. I'm sorry for those people who died on 9/11 and their families, but it is time for this nation to look forward. The 9/11 Decade is officially over. I vote for staying vigilant without being paranoid. For instance, 569,000 Americans died of cancer in 2010. With just a fraction of what we spent on killing goat herders in Afghanistan and shop keepers in Iraq, how much could we have brought that number down? It's time for this nation to get its priorities straight.

All things being relative, I'm sure there are plenty of "comedians" in Syria that kill their audiences nightly with 9-11 material.

Hey Moreno, check out this line right here:

The 9/11 Commision Report; pg 250 (emphasis mine)
Bin Ladin’s consistent priority was to launch a major attack directly against
the United States. He wanted the planes operation to proceed as soon as pos-
sible. Mihdhar reportedly told his cousin during the summer of 2001 that Bin
Ladin was reputed to have remarked ,“I will make it happen even if I do it by
myself.”

I have you now.
