Have you Ever Heard of 9/11?
Posted by: 92% ()

92% of the Afghan people have never heard of the events of 9/11. They do not associate the events of that day to why we are fighting there.

We need to get out.

No, we need to pull out our troops, then carpet bomb the blazes out of that country. Turn the sand into glass. Then, we can move onto Iraq and do the same thing. Finally, if Hugo Chavez doesn't shut up, we'll then head to Venezuela for the same action. They'll all learn really quick what 9-11 means.

Afghanistan is not exactly the most literate place in the world.

From the CIA World Factbook:

Literacy:
definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 28.1%
male: 43.1%
female: 12.6% (2000 est.)

Sounds more like we should be carpet bombing your house. Fucking violent assholes like you sit around playing videogames all day dreaming about sending other people's children overseas to murder women and children so you can laugh about it over a beer, and then you wonder why those people fly planes into your buildings. Why don't go waterboard your wife until she agrees to have sex with you.

Ah, for the record, I don't sit around playing video games all day. I'm a productive employee where I work and do very well when it comes to success. I don't even own a video game player.

I was in the military when I was 18 years old. What's your excuse? Of course, I'm all for carpet bombing the slug countries - I've had my military experience.

Kill 'em all ... let God sort 'em out.

This is why terrorists make the effort to come over here and try to kill us. Americans casually sit around drinking beer talking about carpet bombing other countries as if there are no consequences. The more ignorant and belligerent ones like to brag about military service, as if that makes their opinion any less moronic.

Excuse me, but do you mind if I call you "Libby?" Certainly, having a name like Tomahawk must mean either one of two things: 1) Either you're american indian, or 2) You have some connection with the military.

I don't think you have any connection with the military, but probably sit around playing video games between the Obama campaigns when you circle up your friends to go out and vote. And, no, America isn't a target because of military prowess. We're targets because the Liberal population wants to be "buddy, buddy" with all of the countries and allow them to graze into our country and wreak havoc.

Now, maybe it's time for you to grow some balls. Heck if Chas Bono could, maybe you could, too.

I agree with the guy who just said that thing that was written above this thing. Let's face it: "The Troops" are not heroic, selfless, paragons of liberty and the american way. They're mostly burnouts, flunkies, kids, or minorities with no other options. Thank you for volunteering so I don't have to go and get my leg or my arm or both blown off for nothing. But you're not Superman. Or even Captain America. You're not even the Green Arrow. What you are is used, abused, duped and brainwashed by your government. I feel bad for you, but you are not brave. You just signed up for some shit without taking the time to read the fine print. And that certainly doesn't make your opinion on anything more valuable than mine. Lose the hero complex, Sgt. Fury. When you come back home (if you come back home) there will be no parade. No nation in history has ever taken care of its veterans. The romanticization of "The Troops" is american propaganda at its highest level. Instead of glorifying a bunch of kids who didn't know any better, take a look at the people who sent them over there in faulty armor, with no plan, no clearly identifiable enemy, and no way out. If you volunteered for this nonsense, you have big brass balls and no one can take that away from you......but it doesn't make your opinion any more valuable than that of a civilian. If anything, it depreciates in value, because you signed up for some bullshit occupation disguised as a war instead of asking "why?"

It seems like many members of the Army or USMC get annoyed when the public refers to them as "heroes". They don't see why doing their job makes them a hero; I agree with this. Sure they're putting themselves in harms way and bla bla bla, but they are getting paid to do it.

That .gif is fucked up... but I lol'd.

Where do you get your facts, Mr. Misery? I was neither of what you've described the military as. If you were to serve your country instead of crying for someone to drive you to Woodburn, you might be a better individual because of it. Give it some thought.

Yes, the military gets paid to do a "job". However, their work doesn't end when 8 hours is up like most jobs do. Instead, their day could go on for many hours - and, then extend into many days of 12+ hours shifts with only enough break time to rest, shower and get back to work.

You've done a real good job of painting the military as if it's come "cushy" job. If it were not for the fact that people in the military are there to serve their country, they could just do some back-to-back shifts at their local McDonald's and still make more money.

The "free" medical is nothing to write home about. At best, it's basic care. Also, one has to serve at least 20 years to get some sort of retirement benefit from their service. Most military professions don't transfer easily into real-world jobs like the military would like you to believe. About the only benefit that someone would leave the military with is a security clearance that might get them into a position that requires it. Other than that, things can get pretty tough.

That other dude didnt say anything about how cushy it is.. I think we're all just gettin plain old sick of the military "hero-complex" that Miz mentioned. Cuz I sure am... If i hear one more person proclaim their military service as an excuse for bad behavior, a reason why their opinion is more important, or to remind us regular civilian 'sheep' how great they are.. im gonna puke.

Thank you. I acknowledge that their job is tough and I appreciate what they do. However, I still don't believe that makes them heroes. This goes for 9/11 fire fighters as well. Sure I appreciate what they did that day, and many of them ended up paying the ultimate sacrifice. They were just doing their job. Period. The media tries to paint them as heroes just so they can have some sensational story and get ratings.

Tomahawk and MMisery are right on point.

I echo there sentiments with only ONE addition.

The closest thing to a "Hero" that is in the military are the people who really had very little choice in life and the military was essentially their ONLY avenue in terms of employment / career. For many of these people it was their only way out of a horrible environment or the only way to help their family and so on...those kids deserve the extra respect IMO --- they are fighting on two fronts and for reasons much larger than the silly political machine.

Every time I see Afghan coverage it reminds me of the old West except this time the indigenous people (the Afghans) are the indians. We are still the Calvary (literally the Calvary) coming to the "rescue". In those days ofcourse the attitude of "Mr CarpetBomb" was the majority opinion nd the world had not yet developed into the small community itis today. In other words in those days we could get away with genocide, today we cant. Would we carbet bomb Afganistan if we could get away with it? Im sorry to say we probably would. "Mr. Carpet Bomb" is the true spirit of America. He has the same attitude as President Jackson who after the Cherokkee won their Supreme Court case defending their property rights said something like "let the Supreme Court send in troops to defend the Cherokee rights". This is the spirit of the Tea Party and all but Ron Paul's view in the current field of Republican candidates and perhaps even Barack Obama.

It could be because 92% of Afghan people have never owned a TV, radio, or computer. Most Afghan people are only interested in fighting their neighboring tribe, farming opium, and bear baiting, not staying atop current global events.

Mmm.

I don't know about the accuracy of your statistics...

But yes, Afghanistan is one of the most backwards countries in the world.

I think it's the 5th poorest and the most corrupt country in the world.

Afghanistan isn't really a nation.

Nation-states are a largely Western invention and idea.

Afghanistan is a surprisingly diverse shithole of a country full of all kinds of various muslime ethnic groups who hate each other.

Afghanistan has no real central government or even local government...

Most of Afghanistan is extremely rural and most of the people living in Afghanistan are very isoloated, poor, backwars, muslim, uneducated and ignorant.

A lot of Afghan's might as well be living on the moon, that's how isolated they are...

They have very little access to the outside world and many of them don't even know who are soldiers are...

A lot of Afghan's actually think U.S. soldiers are Russians still fighting there from decades ago...

So...

Our goals in Afghanistan have to be very, very limited...

Afghanistan is not going to swiftly develop, embrace Western capitalism and modern human rights.

If we stay in Afghanistan for the next 100 years, we MIGHT be able to get Afghanistan to the development level of, say, Nepal - a very backwards and poor country as well.

So our biggest hurdle in Afghanistan is the Afghan's!

They're genetic garbage...

They're imbred (incest is wildly popular in islam), they're pedophiles (pedophilia is also widely popular in islam), they have very low IQs (like most muslims), and they're muslims (all muslim countries are poor if they don't have massive amounts of natural resources because islam is an extremely oppressive, evil and backwards religiion).

That would be like giving a retarded kid ebola.

You just can't overcome that extremely high level of fail.

Also, our mission in Afghanistan is horribly misguided.

Make no mistake, 9/11 was islam declaring war/jihad on America.

Rather than going to Afghanistan to force Westernized secularism down their retarded, imbred, muslime throats; we're instead building hundreds of mosques for them, routinely praising islam, forcing our female soldiers to wear muslime garb, etc...

And then we enabled the ultimate clusterfuck by allowing insanely barbaric islamic sharia law to become ingrained in Afghanistan's constitution...

Holy fuck that was so retarded.

We've now helped condemn that country to even more centuries of islamic oppression, backwardness and evil.

We could have very possibly won in Afghanistan if dear leader hussein sent 100,000 more troops as requested, but of course obama is totally clueless on defense (as evidenced by his fucktarded leftist positions on Iraq).

Ultimately, it's the Afghan's fault for their almost certain destiny of being reconquered by the islamofascist taliban.

I despise Afghan's. 99% of them are mongoloid slaves (aka obama supporters).

Also, the real prize in that region is Pakistan. Afghanistan is almost a Pakistani proxy.

Look at every single islamic jihadist (aka obama supporter) in the world.

90% of them will either be born in Pakistan, lived in Pakistan, are Pakistani ethnically or traveled to Pakistan for jihadist training.

Pakistan is the HQ of a long list of islamofascist groups from the taliban to al qaeda.

And look at where we found osama!

We need to be teaming up with India and invading and bombing the fuck out of Pakistan.

Afghanistan is a storm in a teacup, a mere sideshow in comparison.

And stop letting Paki's immigrate here for fuck sakes...

Another very traditional American view of the world. as if white educated upper middle class men dont fuck their daughters. I guarantee you this, the money behind the child porn industry doesnt come out of Afghanistan.

Of course Obama bows to it. It's his preferred religion.

What part of the world isnt anti-women? A country that doesnt allow a women to control her own reproductive rights has nothing to brag about. Every one of your Republican candidates would take that right away from US citizens. And whats not dangerous about our part of the world? Lots of violence here. We killed more then a million Iraquis in response to....oh yeah, thats right, we're still not sure in response to what.

Add to that there is still a pay differential between men and women.

Fuck up leftist.

Abortion is obviously infanticide.

We didn't kill over a million Iraqi civilians in the last Iraq War.

[Although we did kill over 1 million Iraqi's in the corrupt UN oil for food sanctions that you leftists widely supported...]

That's a leftist/islamist propaganda lie.

http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Articles/11Myths.htm

Only about 85,000 to 100,000 Iraqi civilians died in the Iraq War.

And who killed them?

Mostly Iraqi's.

Only about 10,000 Iraqi civilian deaths can be attributed to U.S. military actions.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iraq/8327447/90000-civilians-killed-in-Iraq-war-over-five-years.html

And of those 10,000, most can be blamed on the islamist insurgents who routinely hid behind civilians.

The large majority of Iraqi civilian deaths can be attributed to all the islamic jihadists operating within Iraq and the sectarian civil war that broke out.

And oh yeah: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5p-qIq32m8

Keep trying to rewrite history you lying leftist nigs...

You leftist motherfuckers have also tried desperately to coverup how insanely evil Saddam Hussein's regime was.

You can always tell that someone has absolutely no idea what they're talking about when they "Yeah, I know Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, but..."

No, no. You have absolutely NO idea of just how evil his LEFT-WING SOCIALIST regime was...

And oh yeah, single urban females actually make far more than single urban males.

It's only in rural parts of the country and with older women do you see male's making more.

That's because women volunteer to put their kids before their career.

I want my male boosting affirmative action NOW, bitch.

Up until reading this just now, I didn't know much about Miz.

Is he retarded as well as autistic? Or is he bitter because he does not have the mental or physical capacity to serve in the military?
