I would have to guess a bunch of people bought them in Canada for $99 and are selling them here for $250. Another PR black eye for the dumbass CEO running HP these days.

No man, people are selling drawings of HP TouchPads.

This real TouchPad just sold for $11,000 plus $20 shipping. I don't get it.

No it didn't. The winner has zero feedback.

No need, I picked up a few at $99 during the fire sale. In the US. Using USD.

But I agree that it is yet another HP fuckup, I have no love for HP but I did hope they could do something with WebOS as I thought it would make a great tablet OS. It wouldn't have taken down Apple but it would have been a great 3rd choice for tablets.

Hmm... didn't know I could get almost $250 for the 16GB units I got. I may have to sell one to pay for most of the rest. Reminds me of flipping Tickle Me Elmos on eBay when they were in high demand, but I want to use the TouchPads as gifts.

That's a neat story... but I don't think you really did that...

Seems reasonable to me. If I didn't already have a couple of tablets I probably would have went through the hassle of trying to score a couple myself. Web OS is nice and all but any serious app support will dry up, whatever there was for it at least. It will be interesting to see if the CyanogenMod port of Gingerbread will work out.

HP is going out of business and only supporting Enterprise model business. DELL is trying to buy the HP home products.
