Minnesota Wi-Fi hacker gets 18 years in prison for terrorizing neighbors

Wow... this asshole was hardcore.

Minnesota hacker Barry Ardolf was sentenced to an 18-year term in a federal prison this Tuesday. Ardolf had terrorized a neighboring family for two years through a carefully planned campaign involving a hijacked Wi-Fi network to harass, frame and embarrass the next-door neighbors in every facet of their lives.

What an idiot. If he was so computer savvy, he should have known there's a way to trace everything that happens on the internet.

I thought 18 years was excessive until I read about the extent of his harassment. He definitely earned every second.

That's hardcore. 18 years may not be enough.

Picking up the neighbor's kid and returning him to his parents when he wandered into his yard...ok. Kissing the kid on the lips, not ok. I mean, if you do that with your own kids then that's all you, but you just don't do that with some other person's kid. Calling the cops was a bitch move by the neighbors. Talk to the guy when it happens like a human fucking being. At worst the guy would have left feeling a little douche-y and likely wouldn't be any more than the creepy neighbor afterward.

All in all we've got kid kissing and then child porn possession/distribution. That alone is worth 20 years, so is 18 too harsh? I think not.

The hacker then posted child porn on the Myspace page and emailed the same child porn to co-workers at Kostolnik’s law office.

Mistake number 1.

Police learned that he staged a similar attack on some other neighbors who, get this, parked their cars in front of his house. I hope the guy's guts fall out of his asshole.

What's the big deal?

Who amoung us hasn't ordered up a large pizza with extra cheese for their lactose intollerant neighbor then hid in the bushes while it was delivered?

Come on, show of hands.

Anyone?

Just me huh?

Nevermind.

Even better... in college, we ordered a pizza for the house across the street. Then we immediately called them again and ordered two pizzas for a house at the end of the block. The driver stopped to deliver the one across the street, and while he was dealing with the hassle at their front door, sure enough those other two pizzas were sitting on his front seat. And according to our plans, he didn't lock his door either.

Dinner was free that night.

Immature middle aged man? Possession of child porn? Vindictive? Computer savvy?

This sounds like Chuck Hoffmann.

Except for the part about having a job, family and house.

If some creep kissed my kid like that, I'd call the cops only after I let him kiss my fists a few times.

A Dream Within A Dream

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

Kissing the kid in front of the parents is just creepy.
