Soundgarden @ GMU 7/12

Anyone else see Soundgarden last night? I thought they put on a great, crowd pleasing show.

Mars Volta on the other hand sucked balls. Omar Rodríguez-López is a killer guitar player but for the most part the first half of their set was self-indulgent bullshit that left the audience sleepy.

Soundgarden set list

Let Me Drown
Jesus Christ Pose
Room a Thousand Years Wide
Blow Up the Outside World
The Day I Tried to Live
My Wave
Fell on Black Days

Outshined
Flower
Rusty Cage
Black Hole Sun
Burden in My Hand
Superunknown
4th of July
Face Pollution
Encore:
Beyond the Wheel

Definitely a solid show...slightly dissapointed that the crowd was so well behaved, I remember Patriot Center shows 10 years ago were nice and rowdy.

My Wave is probably my favorite Soundgarden song.

I'm surprised the show still went on, I heard that Ben Shepherd was in jail for robbing a pharmacy.

It was the bassist for Coheed that robbed the pharmacy, they opened for Soundgarden on Sunday

I know, I was mocking the article someone posted here, saying that "Soundgarden Rocker Was Arrested for Robbery".

I like anything as long as it's not Black Hole Sun and Spoonman. That's some played out shit.

Great show! I agree with "your boys" comment! There is nothing better then watching a bunch of stoned and drunk collage kid's puking and falling down the steps! It was also nice to see a now older band just jam without plugging their new albums!

Yeah, the crowd was very well behaved. Tho I did see some lame attempts to mosh down on the floor. I also smelled a bit of the evil weed burning.

For the record, $11 for a beer is fucking ridiculous.

Spoonman? Any band that writes an homage to a dude that rocks out with spoons is A-0kay in my book! ALL MY FRIENDS ARE INDIANS, ALL MY FRIENDS ARE BLACK AND RED.
