Starbucks locations have unique personalities
Date: June 27, 2011 06:13PM

I go to Starbucks every now and then to get regular coffee or pure espresso. I just go to whichever one is most convenient at the moment. I notice that each location seems to have a unique personality.

Springfield Plaza: Ghetto
Burke Centre Pkwy near Roberts Rd: Depressing with a hospice-like atmosphere
Burke Centre Pkwy near Ox Rd: Laid back and transient
Old Keene Mill and Rolling: A little snobby and stiff for Springfield
Main St. Fairfax near TJ Maxx: casual and college'y "hip"
The ones in any Safeway: Stale
McLean branch on Old Dominion Dr: Clubbish
Any Tysons corner location: Pretentious and stuffy.

Feel free to add to this list,
Cheers!

The Safeway branches: understaffed and terrible customer service. Last time I was there, they were OUT of coffee. The barista musta just been sitting around with his thumb up his ass all day. I had to friggin wait for him to make it.

Also, the McLean Starbucks is on Chain Bridge, not Old Dominion. Or did they recently build a new one?

There are two in McLean; the one on old dominion/chesterbrook has been there for at least a decade, if not longer.

Why do y'all go to Starbucks?

Aren't there any cool coffee houses around where you hang?

Different personalities with one common denominator... everyone who goes to Starbucks is a douchebag.

The only time I go to Starbucks is when my program director gives out Starbucks gift cards for Christmas. I usually try to sell the card to someone I know that goes there but if I can't I like to go order the hardest thing to make that falls just under the amount on the card, when they call me to pick up my coffee I get it and toss it in the trash right in front of them.
