The New Radio?

Commercial radio... In my opinion is rolling away with D&M. It's annoying as it's listeners, 15-20 mins of commercials and nothing to listen to during your short trip.

Satilite radio.. Will it continue to take off and will the FCC get it's fat grubby fingers onto it?

I've gotten addicted to Opie and Anthony on XM. They do a 4 hour show, and barely any commercials. Their show also repeats all day, which is good for people like me who don't want to wake up at 7am.

To those with XM-

Are Ron & Fez broadcasting on XM yet? And is it any better than the WJFK show?

Randy, Ron & Fex start in Sept.

The worst thing about XM is not having it when you rent a car or travel w/ someone who doesnt have it.

IT's Great! Opie and Anthony are pretty good and many other stations to enjoy w/ no or very few commercials.

Don & Mike are getting tired. They recycle the same bits over and over again. Plus, Mike should stick with the impressions he is good at, like Bob Barker, Arnold and Harry Potter. He tries to do people like Simon Cowell, Jay Leno (who should be a slam dunk) and even Bush and you are sitting there trying to figure out who he is supposed to be.

Don & Mike should fulfill their contract and ride off into the sunset.

I'll add this, though. They are 100 times better than the God-awful "Junkies." Who the hell gave these losers a friggin' show?

XM is a pipe dream. Sure a pretty good sized group will listen to it but it will NEVER become mainstream. It will just amount to the equivelant of an inside joke. The VAST majority will continue listening to mainstream radio. Why? Because it is FREE! Enjoy your XM and Serious pay per listen crap. Once the shows that "make the switch" leave the mainstream, they will simply dissapear from public view. And quit bitching about how Don and Mike have gotten tired. You don't think shows on XM will get tired? Howard Stern is past tired. THe only difference is that soon you will have to pay to listen to his tired ass. Enjoy paying for the SAME THING you would normally get for free just to hear the jockeys say things the FCC wouldn't allow. Yeah, really good use of money.

Podcasting will destroy all of them. It is the Internet version of radio. It's cheap, easy to do and offers infinite variety.

Itlan get a clue... NBC ABC CBS are Free that's why cable and direct TV will never make it. CNN, Fox, HBO nobody will ever pay to watch these! GM, Ford, and Europe are implementing these into their cars, why? Because it's a pipe dream... Just because you get your butter and cheese for free doesnt mean people are going to stop paying for the "finer" things in life.

I agree, Howard is on the same lame ass tired bed as D&M. BTW: Howard isnt on XM. I hope you love those 20min commercials! They should call it Don, Mike and QVC.I will remain with the VAST.

Good day sir!

I absolutely agree, D&M are sucking more and more now, how many radio shows break for 20 minutes of commercials?! They even have commercials in the middle of their show, in the form of them selling love for some product.

$100/year goes a long way towards better sound quality, and much more content. XM may not be the best thing since sliced bread, but it already has its own niche, and appears to be growing.

Let me tell you guys about Texas radio and the Big Beat.
It's soft-driven, slow and mad like some new language.

I know the answer from a reliable source. It is "probably".
