Honestly I think the big travesty here is he wants to work for Wall Street.

Edit: As for comments, this story was apparently posted on Saturday, and probably became full of a lot of vitriolic back-and-forth so The Post shut it down. I advise you to send an email to the Ombudsman to ask why this story was closed to comments. It would probably make an interesting column from him, explaining their policies on comments.

The kids illegal....ship him!

His parents (and ALL illegal aliens) are incredibly selfish. They did not think ahead to what their children would go through as illegals...they only wanted to make a buck or suck on the american welfare tit..

He deserves to be deported...let the parents pay for their sins

Clearly the thoughts of someone who gets everything he knows from right wing talk radio. At worst Obama is trying to follow the European model which has more socialistic features than Americans traditionally like but still falls short of communism.

Getting back to the thread, I do have to wonder why the WaPo bothers to have a comment feature if it is going to turn it off when people actually get worked up enough to comment. As Johnny Walker said it would be a good topic for the Ombudsman, assuming they still have one.

That's massive gayness. The WaPo is getting really pathetic if they're getting picky.

After their in-box and spam file filled up someone actually read the article and said:

"WTF???? When did we start reporting actual news without adding enough of how the children are being hurt in it?....shut it down!!!"

I was amused at this story. The bias of the Post and similar media organs is such is that they never asked of this young man why he would not consider returning to his home country of Columbia. Surely a bi-lingual student with high grades from Georgetown would be an asset to the Columbian economy. Oh the horrors of living in a nice high rise in Bogota. The article assumes that there is an entitlement to an American banking job.

It is also difficult to reconcile the meme of the story with reality. If the United States is so unjust and insensitive to deny this young man full immigration status, then I am perplexed at why this young man wants to stay and not return to Columbia. I suspect this is, as is so often the case, about the money.

He must have worked harder than the stupid americans to get a free ride and a good job offer. Ignorant, jealous americans.

@arlbbulldog. I take from your dissent that you are not of american descent. All I can say to you is that you can take your unappreciative, foreign ass right back to wherever the fuck you came from. Honestly, Go fuck yourself. You uneducated, hateful piece of shit. Fuck you and the free ride to success that we have provided. If you are a natural born american, you should go take a good look in the mirror, break it and slit your goddamn neck; shed some blood like so many of our brethren have done before.

Ignorance, sir, is what you spew from behind your monitor. I doubt you could carry a fucking sentence in any sort of articulate manner, none the less hold an actual argument or debate.

Did you even sign in?

After doing so, how long did you wait(the revised site is notoriously slow)

I don't know about the OP, but I waited long enough to see "Comments are closed" and "No Comments are available at the moment."

Most articles have a comments section posting immediately when the article is posted - at least for articles generated by WaPo (as opposed to AP or UPI feeds).

This one is odd in that it does not...

Signed in? Um, yeah...
No comments allowed on this story, but there are several on the related slideshow.

The new site really is awful. Wish they'd left well enough alone

They wanted more clicks. It's really very annoying.

US would never even consider deporting him. Even if they did, he clearly has the means to come back. He should be jailed and put in a forced labor program until he has repaid what he stole from taxpayers, with interest. It's only fair to punish him to at least the same extent that US punishes citizens.

In his defense, his parents are the reason he is in this situation.
