GE is the parent company of NBC and NBC has been forefront in promoting "green jobs" and 'green energy" that GE is an investor in. I imagine this is the same on subsidiary MSNBC, but I rarely watch them so I can't say for sure.

Notice how even the (Com)Post buries the story in the online "Style"
section and doesn't mention it in the print version at all?
I've looked through yesterdays paper twice now and can't find it.
I never read the Style section as it's usually aimed at money
grubbing liberals and how wonderful they are.

Neither can be called THE parent company. Comcast owns 51% of it, so if any case is to be made for who is in charge, the blame should go to Comcast.

Good point. Joe Scarborough had Imelt on almost every week before Obama appointed him to what ever Czar position he now has.
Where it is going to be sticky for MSNBC and such is when they start their usual railing against "Corporate Welfare". My guess is that popular progressive drum will not be beat very hard by NBC affiliates in the future.
