April Fools Day should be a great American Holiday. For me, it's just behind Halloween and the Fourth of July in fun level. But unfotrunately, it is slowly being erased from the calendar by puritans, liberal PC types and other garden variety killjoys.

We need to give April Fools Day the recognition it is deserved.

I'm trying to think of some harmless little pranks and hijinks to play on friends and neighbors.

I am thinking about telling my girlfriends nephews to get in the car trunk and I'll "sneak them into a drive-in movie!", (chuckle, chuckle.).Instead I will drive to Atlantic City or however far I can get on a tank of gas. I will let the little creeps ride home in the rear seat though, I'm not heartless.

Or I was thinking about something with Craigslist,- Hookers? Yard sales or free giveaways that really aren't? How about fireworks, should we involve fireworks on April 1st?

Give me some ideas!

Have you thought about switching the sugar with the salt and vise versa.

Put saran wrap on the toilet seat or under it. It's clear and you may not see it right away, so if you have any boys, they may not see the saran wrap they will pee and it would bounce up on them.

You wanted ideas.

When my daughter was younger (6 - 9) she used to love "pranking" me on April Fools Day with fake dog poo, vomit, whoopie cushions or whatever. From an adult perspective it was totally lame, but it made her so happy when I'd "freak out". She'd talk about it for days.

I was thinking about posting that the guidance department at Westfield won an award for all their good work.

McLean was seceding from Fairfax County.

Fairfax and Loudoun County supervisors OK'd the building of a tunnel under route 50 that goes directly from South Riding Blvd to Route 66 without stoplights.

Adjust the temperature control in their fridge and freezer to the warmest settting (it helps if you leave the doors open to let the cold air out). Slowly everything starts to get warm and thaw, and it takes FOREVER to get cold again. LOL, people usually take awhile to figure out what's going on.
