I didn't see the word "resign" or "resignation" in the article.

Looks like there is a drive for primary opponents if anything.

I grew up in Ohio's 8th District and still follow politics there. I can
assure you all that there is only one viable candidate to take on John
Boehner and that is Sheriff Richard K. Jones (R-Butler Co). A Democrat
doesn't have a snowballs chance in Hell of being elected anything in this
area. I would prefer Jones over Boehner because he has such a fantastic
attitude towards illegal immigration. He wants to send them all back and
stop screwing around about it. My kind of candidate.:)

Should have explained. Hamilton is the name of the city but locals call it
Hamiltucky because roughly 90% of the folks who live there are either from
Kentucky or their parents were. AK Steel was the draw for jobs.

If the Tea Party wants to replace Boehner they'd best "gives a fuck".
Perhaps you understand the Hillbilly nature of SW Ohio politics better
than I do so I'm asking you who else would stand a chance of running
against him? If you want a laugh take a look at what happened to the
Dem who ran against him in the last election.:)

I'm not a TP'r, nor a Republican, nor am I from Redneckville, Ohio. I really don't give a fuck about your cornpone politics you fucking unregistered usename hayseed, nor do I care who becomes the next house speaker, they all suck dicks and work against individual liberty, hillbillies and city rats alike.

Now that we've established that tomahawk doesn't "gives a fuck" or
have a clue as to what he/she is talking about, here's a look at who
backs John Boehner in the 8th District:

http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/contrib.php?cycle=2010&cid=n00003675&type=I

Unseating him would be quite a task indeed. Even with all the corporate
support a large number of union members consistently vote for him too.

Notice AK Steel on the list too. They're having to fight against the war on coal in order to stay in business. (Can't make steel without it)

With all the Republican party senators and congressmen defecting to the Tea Party, Republicans have a real problem on their hands to save the party.

Do tell, please name all of the Republican senators and congresspeople who have declared themselves Tea Party Republicans since the start of the new Congress in January.

The tea party is the best thing ever for the democrats. While most Senators and congresspeople are educated, inteligent people who know better than to take the tea party seriously many of our voters are not. See pic of a mainstream tea party supporter.

A new Pew poll released today contains some ominous omens for the Republican Party. As national support for the Tea Party declines, support of Republicans by Tea Partiers is also in decline. Only 19% of Americans support the Tea Party now, and within the Tea Party support for the GOP budget plan has dropped from 74% to 52%.

The latest Pew Research Poll has found that the American people are growing disgruntled with divided Congress’ inability to do anything, and they are blaming the Republicans for the lack of progress. The big problem that Republicans face is that they sold their supporters an ambitious and completely politically unrealistic budget and deficit reduction plan that they have not been able to deliver.

After the 2010 elections 35% of Republicans supported their party’s deficit plan, support has now fallen to 22%. Republican candidates used the Tea Party to gain control of the House of Representatives, but there are dangerous signs that these same voters have already grown impatient with the GOP. Support for the Republican Party’s deficit reduction plan among Tea Partiers has plunged from 75% just after the election to 52% now.

Everything from the headline to most of the replies in this post are bullshit and wish thinking at that.

No one called for the "resignation"" of top repubs, there is some chatter about opposing some of the more moderate ones in the primary. You fucking libs are so desperate for some good news it's like you are trying to squeeze the last drop of cum from your limp dicks and there's nothing there.

Barack "Barry Sotero" Obama has proven himself an unqualified and unfocused non-leader. No one with half a brain considers his lame ass to be anything but a standard, deceitful, duplicitous bureaucrat. Zero hope, zero change, zero transparency.

Unemployment is still around 9%, the deficit is huge, and Obuma is wasting more money in a unilateral war in Libya.

There may be some MSNBC zealots who are still panties in the ass mad about the Tea Party, but the majority of honest American people are seeing Obuma for what a slick con job he pulled in 2008.

Fuck the Tea Party, tell us about the great, great accomplishments of Barry Sotero.

Yeah, this is still all a big attempt to deflect attention from the failure of Obama. Anything they can do to make people not notice the smoke and mirrors in the Oval Office at this point in an attempt to save themselves.

This "Hillbilly fuck" has lived in the DC area since 1973. No I don't
"have a sheep to fuck" and and it's obvious that you are incapable
of discussing this topic. I just happen to keep up with Ohio and
SW Ohio politics in particular because I have financial interest there.
My friends and relatives that I grew up with are mostly employed in the steel
industry so I try and keep up with their discussions. Now what is it
that you have to offer?

Here's what i have to offer,,,

The Tea party is going to WAY overplay their hand and be nothing more than a marginalized extremist group by the next election,,,much like the Green party,,,remember when they were going to be the next 3rd party?

Bottomline is no one likes to be dictated to by a bunch of dictators,,,

Emphasis on Dic(s)

I think your argument is really weak.

Here is an example of the stupidity of the left, which, if they had their way would be dictated to us here as well:

EU to ban cars from cities by 2050
Cars will be banned from London and all other cities across Europe under a draconian EU masterplan to cut CO2 emissions by 60 per cent over the next 40 years.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/8411336/EU-to-ban-cars-from-cities-by-2050.html
The European Commission on Monday unveiled a "single European transport area" aimed at enforcing "a profound shift in transport patterns for passengers" by 2050.

The plan also envisages an end to cheap holiday flights from Britain to southern Europe with a target that over 50 per cent of all journeys above 186 miles should be by rail.

Top of the EU's list to cut climate change emissions is a target of "zero" for the number of petrol and diesel-driven cars and lorries in the EU's future cities. ...

Needless to say, that didn't go over too well with some folks...

...The Association of British Drivers rejected the proposal to ban cars as economically disastrous and as a "crazy" restriction on mobility.

"I suggest that he goes and finds himself a space in the local mental asylum," said Hugh Bladon, a spokesman for the BDA.

"If he wants to bring everywhere to a grinding halt and to plunge us into a new dark age, he is on the right track. We have to keep things moving. The man is off his rocker." ...

Funny...

UK rejects EU call for city centre ban on petrol cars
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12879566
...But UK Transport Minister Norman Baker said it should not be "involved" in individual cities' transport choices.

"We will not be banning cars from city centres anymore than we will be having rectangular bananas," he said....

When was there debate in the last Congress? Pelosi and Reid suppressed ALL debate - to the point that they even had the locks changed on the doors to the chambers to keep Republicans from debating the crap they foisted on us. You act like somehow the Tea party is a bad thing - well, they aren't dictating anything. The problem comes in that folks are brainwashed into believing only the Federal government can solve every problem - and the reality is, it cannot. We are creating fake money so fast right now that pretty soon the dollar will be next to worthless - and salaries are not able to go up in response due to the huge amount of debt. Here's stupidity for you - the majority of the jobs are in the government right now and the only way those folks get paid is through taxes. When they give themselves their next pay raise, they will have to likely raise taxes to do it... on who?

Private sector jobs that were created during the last upcycle were mostly in service sector jobs - like McDonalds and such. These were lower income jobs, and a lot of similar jobs at less scrupulous companies were taken by illegals. We have lost most of our high end jobs - other than financial sector jobs (go figure) - and we are losing our industrial base. Without access to natural resources here in the US, our industrial base will be unable to rebuild or compete anytime soon - especially when China is doing most of the industrial (and hell just about ANY) manufacturing in the world now because they can keep their labor rates lower. We have to borrow money from China to pay for our bombing of Libya for instance - whose biggest consumer is - China. Great huh - we buy all their products, and we borrow money from them to continue buying or protecting their products, so we get to pay them interest on top of everything else. Anyone else find it funny that we are still "protecting" Taiwan - when we have to borrow money from China to maintain our military?

Both parties tend to fuck us over right now - at least the Tea Party is representing more "real people" than either party is at the moment, regardless of the attempts to marginalize them by other media organizations and political parties.

Does Jesse Jackson represent all Democrats? Evidently not because he was not elected. How about Howard Dean? Nope. So when these extreme members of the Democratic party come out and make marginal statements, that indites all Democrats right?

That is the level of comparison being made here. And seriously, the Democrats are in much worse shape than the Republicans right now - but it plays well to the masses of the "don't look over here (at the Democrats)" story line.

The problem is, that moniker only exists on wooden lawn chairs and the like. Even most of our cars "made in the US" are made from parts purchased from Japan, China and others. And sorry, the US cannot survive just by having a few car manufacturers that cannot even effectively sell their cars overseas. Their has to be a fundamental change of some sort to allow for us to get our industrial base back on track, otherwise it is doubtful we will recover from this without essentially making ourselves a third world country.

No she doesn't. The problem is, one person is not able to do that. Even Obama, with his vaunted intelligence is unable to juggle all the balls of government correctly or appropriately. We need to get folks in that are looking at truly being innovative in addressing energy and other issues - and being able to balance responsibility to the environment against economic priorities. Electing folks that kowtow to the global green agenda is going to bankrupt the country for sure - but we also cannot put folks in who bend over backwards to big business or other special interest groups (big oil, big financial, trial lawyers, etc) at the detriment to the public. Unfortunately that seems to be all the 2 major parties are offering at the moment.

In this particular case, the topic here is the unseating of Boehner
by one of the Tea Party groups. This will not be settled at the
national level and I think theorizing about the overall is a waste
of time without focusing on Boehner's House District. If you look at the
political climate in this area, it's very conservative and always has
been by my recollection and the Tea Party in general is very popular.
It ain't Fairfax.

Here is a map of the 8th District. Please note the City of Springboro
as it's important in the current battle in Columbus over the right of
public sector unions to collective bargaining and it's roots. I'll point
out some details in my next reply.

Ohio (State) Senator Shannon Jones was the original sponsor of
HB5, the bill to eliminate collective bargaining by public sector
unions and other changes as well. She is a "Tea Party" Senator
at the State level.

Thursday's Tea Party Rally will force Republicans to face issues!

Republican leaders won’t have to strain too hard to hear voices like that on Thursday. A tea party rally will feature many of the same lawmakers who have been causing trouble for Boehner and his GOP leadership team. Jordan is slated to attend, as is Indiana Rep. Mike Pence, a former member of Republican leadership.
