He's somewhat less excited than I would be if I saw a tornado heading my direction touch down.

I've been that close to tornadoes on multiple occasions, and most of the time it was extremely terrifying. Still, this guy's reaction had me spitting my drink everywhere LOL. You'd swear that an alien invasion was underway.

Well, I've often wondered what I'd do if I saw what the video guy saw since I have a wife and daughter around that don't pay much attention to the weather compared to me. So a thunderstorm is whipping up and I'm watching out windows and door pretty much OFTEN. Maybe I'm spooked from the storm/tornado that took off a roof a few hundred meters away awhile back. Don't know.

But what would I do?

Probably scream bloody murder or them to get into the basement NOW. They'd still react slowly...

Well, the worst for me is whenever it's near my own home, that's gut wrenching. Scary wise, I've never been so terrified as the time my family was caught in a Super Cell out on the plains in western Nebraska one summer. I still have the photos that I took of that storm, and the tornado as it lifted back up (It went over us, and then touched down again further on down the roadway). The most intense I think was the time we had to outrun one in our car in UpState NY, in the Hudson River Valley. We were on the way back to our friend's house, and the tornado suddenly came up over a hilltop and I could see the rotating wall cloud just over the treetops off to our right. We outran it, and managed to safely get into the house, only to have the tornado pass within less than a 1/4 mile a few minutes later, smashing flower pots against the side of the home. The most recent occurrence was when I drove down to SoFl just ahead of TS Fay back in 2008. I made it down there right at the beginning of the storm, and that night I went outside of the building to film it. I kept hearing this noise like an incoming jet at low-altitude, but I figured it was just the wind whipping inbetween the concrete buildings. Low-and-behold, I then found out that two tornadoes had just touched down on the beach about 100 yards away. I wasn't scared that time, though, because I was in an already strong building, and it had just been refitted to withstand even stronger hurricanes the year before.
