Confirmed Bachelor

why are you considered gay if you're a "confirmed bachelor". I know a guy who's in his late 40's, never married, and he's not gay. Where does this ugly lie come from? Is George Clooney gay? He's a confirmed bachelor. What about hoocoodanode? She's a confirmed bachelorette.....does that automatically make her a lesbian? What about Uncle Crandlestick? They don't come any straighter than that.

the lies stop here.

I apologize to those I unfairly hurt. To Harry Tuttle in particular.

In hoocoo's case, she gives off some real L Word vibes.

A vulture was hacking at my feet.

It had already torn my boots and stockings to shreds, now it was hacking at the feet themselves.

Again and again it struck at them, then circled several times restlessly round me, then returned to continue its work.

A gentleman passed by, looked on for a while, then asked me why I suffered the vulture.

"I'm helpless," I said. "When it came and began to attack me, I of course tried to drive it away, even to strangle it, but these animals are very strong, it was about to spring at my face, but I preferred to sacrifice my feet. Now they are almost torn to bits."

"Fancy letting yourself be tortured like this!" said the gentleman. "One shot and that's the end of the vulture."

"Really?" I said. "And would you do that?"

"With pleasure," said the gentleman, "I've only got to go home and get my gun. Could you wait another half hour?"

"I'm not sure about that," said I, and stood for a moment rigid with pain. Then I said: "Do try it in any case, please."

"Very well," said the gentleman, "I'll be as quick as I can."

During this conversation the vulture had been calmly listening, letting its eye rove between me and the gentleman.

Now I realized that it had understood everything.

It took wing, leaned far back to gain impetus, and then, like a javelin thrower, thrust its beak through my mouth, deep into me.

Falling back, I was relieved to feel him drowning irretrievably in my blood, which was filling every depth, flooding every shore.

You make a good point. It is taken for granted that if you have not been married by a certain age you are labelled gay, mostly behind your back. It is a form of sexual harrasment in my view and a sorry jump to conclusions. It is more prevalent amongst bachelors (both sexs) if they are attractive, it opens the question "what's wrong with you?". It's sad because alot of people who are single would like to be married, but what are you going to do if you can't find the special one who you would want to spend the rest of your life with. Although if your still a bachelor at 50 plus you have pretty much accepted and are content with your life and it does not matter much what anyone thinks.

I had an Uncle that never married and he was not gay. And I also had an Aunt that never married as well. Some people chose to live the single life. Just because they are not married and chose the single life does not mean a person is gay. Some people are just happier being single than being married.

I'm past 50, and the only reason I'm not married is because there was no hurry when I was in my 20's , then when I got serious, I couldn't find anyone decent that would have me. I'm glad I didn't fold under pressure, because a lot of guys I know panicked and married really vile twats.

It kinda sucks being alone and unloved, but getting married doesn't guarentee happiness. A friend of mine who married a beautiful woman actually envies me. She turned out to be a horrific cunt , and even divorce didn't get her out of his life completly , with alimony and child support and lawyers and all.

There are good marriages, of course, but not all of us are destined for that type of happiness.

You have to be fair. The guy or girl could be a pedophile, a pervert, or just into a kinky sex, I mean who knows. Could be into sheep, ducks who knows? I would never jump to a conclusion and think gay. That is very, very wrong.

if marriage is so great why do 50% end in divorce?

personally i'd rather go to strip clubs, massage parlors, get hookers and be able to surf porn anytime i want than have to depend on 1 annoying, nagging bitch for my sexual satisfaction.

It's all in the way you handle yourself. Walk with a swish, and people gonna think your light in the loafers. Walk like John Wayne, and nobody does. Some guys are married and still give out the "I'm gay, let''s frolick" signs, other guys are single and no fucking way could they be gay, Matt Dillon type. Someone challenges your sexuality beat the hell out of them, they'll get the message.

.I don't think there is such a thing. Just a lonely sad man who would give his right nut to meet a women, But is either pathetically shy, lacks social skills or is unlucky. I don't think it is always a choice thing, that certainly does not make someone suspiciously gay, just someone who follows the beat of a different drum.

I don't know what your plans are Mr Misery but don't fall for that "Lonely Hearts Club" scam. Most of them are Asians or Russians with an agenda of their own. It's all lovee dovee but once they are here, it is so long sucker and they are making 1,000 a night at the strip bar and your history. A good policy is to take a long hard objective look at yourself in the mirror and ask the question, "if the roles were reversed, what would I do", there's your answer. Keep the faith, if you never meet a soul mate so what. You can always become a monk and enter monistary.

Your only considered a bachelor is you've never been married at all, once married and divorced, your status is listed legally as divorce. A unmarried women by the way is listed legally as "Old Maid".

Politically correct way of addressing an unmarried lady would be "spinster". Old maid has a negative connotation

Bachelor is OK. It is when you use the adjective "confirmed" that people wonder if your gay. They think the confirmation comes from your trying pussy and passing on it. like if a beautiful women wants a tyst with you and her best friend and you say "No thanks, I'm a confirmed Bachelor".

I have a friend in his early 60's who has never been married. When he was

serious relationship. These days he's still playing the field and makes out

married and he said, "And give up all the pussy I can handle? What for?"

It never used to be that way. Most everyone assumed people were straight.

It used to be always like our judicical system: Innocent until proven guilty. Straight until proven gay.

Now everyone assumes every guy is gay- even if hes married they say its just a cover up.

If you look at any popular Actor they always have a "Is he gay" thread on IMDB. Funny how Actresses never get called gay.

The weirdest part is, though, that masculinity and "effeminate" behavior aren't always a sure fire way to tell. There are some rough and macho guys who like other guys. Then there are men who seem as gay as a Broadway show in San Francisco, but like women. You just can't tell these days.

Sometimes these Romeos are the gayest of them all. it is called the Cassanova Complex, Sadly, they are ashamed of their homosexuality (which they should not be)
and over compensate. I'd rather be an honest gay then one of those.

It all started in the 60s with the TV show "Batman". People were suspicious of that relationship, then Gomer Pyle and Sgt Carter to the "Odd Couple" after that it just escalated. I mean noone thought of Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, or the Three Stooges as gay. It was the mentality of the sixties that precipitated this bullshit.

gays are only 2% of the population. Meaning the ones that are strictly attracted to the same sex only. There are gay people but a vast majority of people are straight. Everyone today is convinced that almost everyone is gay and covering it up. The homosexual agenda is largely responsible for this. Any good looking Actor who is not married they like to start gay rumors about. Or if they are married they say they are using a "beard".

They may be correct once in a great while, but 95% of the time its hooey.

The media tries to show gays more so we're convinced that homosexuality is a lot more common, but its not.

How do we know they aren't just pretending?

Links? Sources? How can we objectively test this "theory"...?

Really? Everyone? Links? Sources?

How so?

It's not what? More common? More common than what? Are you saying that homosexuality is not more common than it is? What would "the media" have to gain by convincing us that homosexuality is "more common"?

I think the "95%" of the time survey was taken in Calif. So should only apply to Calif.
