Nats or O's?

I'm just curious about whether there are more Nats fans or Orioles fans out there. So, which is it? Nats or Orioles? As for me - Nats all the way.

The O's for sure. I have been an Orioles fan for many years. I actually tried to come over to the Nats by attending mucho games over the first 2 years and I still go to 5 to 10 games a year.....but it is still the O's for me. I expect the Orioles to have a very exciting season with all of the new bats added to the lineup. The Nats I still expect to be in the basement.

Haven't been to an O's game since the Nats came to town. After the Senators left, it took me 10 years to bring myself to go to Memorial Stadium.

I hated the O's as a kid because they always won and the Nats always lost. I do have a signed rookie Jim Palmer photo from the '66 World Series season -- it's signed Jim "Pancake" Palmer because he was pushing IHOP or one of those pancake joints.

I was lucky enough to spend a couple hours with Brooks Robinson. What a great guy for what is in my opinion the best defensive 3rd baseman to play the game. We talked baseball, both the old Orioles and the present team. He signed 4 baseballs and 2 photos for me. We were at the Cherry Blossom Parade and he was the main man in the parade and I was transporting a VIP in my 64 Sting Ray. My wife recorded the event and asked Brooks if he wanted a copy and he said yes. She mailed a disc to the address he gave us containing pictures and video of Brooks and his family. A couple of weeks later we go a letter written by Brooks thanking us for the disc and having a fun day with them. He also included one of his rookie cars signed. We have the letter and card framed and on the wall. It is great to find out you alltime favorite player is one hell of a nice guy.

Being a native Marylander(Montgomery County) I grew up on O's fan but when Peter Angelos got rid of Davey Johnson in 1998 the Orioles slid (and stayed) at the bottom of AL East.

I haven't been to a game since 1999 when the O's were swept in consecutive 3 game series by the Red Sox and Yanks respectively. At this point they were still competitive. I was at game three of that three game series vs the Yanks at Camden Yards and saw them loose a late inning lead, and subsequently the season, and then subsequently their franchise's competitiveness.

I still remember seeing all those fucking NY/NJ people, who came down 95, cheering and jeering. All I could do is shake my head in disgust.

I haven't been to a game since then. If the Nats get good, I am ready to be a fan.

I like the Nats, but I have no expectations of them ever doing anything.

I loved the O's growing up, but after Ripken Jr. left I gradually stopped following them. I've been a hardcore Yankees fan ever since (I always liked them to some extent, but the O's were my favorite team for the longest time). I like the Nats now, but still not as much as the Yankees.
