I have little use for literature. The only fiction I like is written by Lovecraft or Fitzgerald.

I've read a shit ton of Howard... He's got some neat stories... sometimes his writing style can be a bit tedious, but it usually suits the square protagonist.

I like his more demonic stuff before he got all aliened out the best... but even the aliens could still be demons I guess... They're from a different dimension usually....

You can't summarize Naked Lunch, Harry...that's the beauty of it. It was written out of order and can be read that way; it's a series of vignettes involving drug dealers, users, sociopathic doctors and drug-induced creatures. You should watch the David Cronenberg adaptation of Naked Lunch...it's a great movie. If you like weirdness.



Burroughs was a part of the Beat movement, but he was sort of an outcast within that group. His stuff was always more bleak and twisted than Kerouac or Ginsberg or anyone else of that era.

Whoah, dude... I just watched it... My brain smells... What was a rolllerc oaster ride!

It was orbiting sanity, centimeters away from making sense at any given second of the movie, but never quite got pulled into its gravity...

That's my kind of movie...
