Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Suppose you're an adult and you wanna dress up and go trick or treating- because you want the free candy! I know in the sick twisted society we live in, people would think you were a child molestor or something. Does that seem right? I mean, if its totally innocent whats wrong with it? Its it illegal?
To me age is just a number and I dont see why all of a sudden
its a perverted thing to want to dress up and get some candy.
If an adult came up to your house on Halloween dressed up and asking for candy, what would you do? Would you think its odd, or just nice?

If you want to dress up and go trick or treating, you are not an adult!
Try dressing up as one and hopefully you will feel differently and realize that as an adult, you can buy your own candy!

meade doesn't have any income and thus can't even live on his own. he has no idea how creepy it is to have an aduly show up with a candy bag at your house. why dont you ask your parents meade? or why not go to an adult costume party if you must dress up? they will probably have candy there.

Is it wrong for an adult to go trick-or-treating?
No more wrong than it is for an adult to live at home with his dad, be hopelessly unemployed, grossly overweight, and holding on to a nonsensical dream of being a professional musician. So, hey, don your devil suit and grab some candy!!
Meade, don't believe others on this board. Stay in your own neighborhood, I'm sure all the neighbors will enjoy seeing you. And don't think you have to get all dressed up either, just a Yankee's baseball cap or Dallas Cowboy jersey, and a plastic grocery bag is fine.

Meade is far from "grossly" overweight. He is also very handsome and talented. Yes, he lives at home with his dad. Whats wrong with that? He does his share of the house work and is working part time saving up money to get his own place.
You really need to put down others to feel better. Maybe yer jealous.
I think the trend is now that a lot of young people will stay longer with their parents. Think about it, not only do they save money by not having to worry about their own place, they are close to family and can always go somewhere else for private time or sex. This depends on each person's situation but I don't see any problem with it, especially since in sooo many other cultures; this kind of thing goes on for life.(kids living with parents)

Meade only works part time because he has stated that "working is for the masses." Apparently he doesn't think work is for the massive. He doesn't do his share around the house either. He runs up his father's credit card bill and contributes no money despite the fact that the household can barely afford to pay the real estate taxes. If he cared about anyone but himself, he'd man up and get a full time job and help out with the household finances. I put him down because he is a selfish human being that refuses to grow up and blames everyone for his problems. He needs to have an awakening and start pulling his share at home and society.
Whatever you want fuckface. What i'm trying to say it those that do live with their parents aren't necessarily 'losers' or fit the sterotype we might think of them. It's not that much about the finances

If you live at home, you don't need to worry about finding a place to go for sex because no girl would want it from a loser who lives with mommy and daddy. The only exception is if you are in college. I guess this would explain why mariokart is a raging homo, cause no girls wants to do it with a dude that lives at home.
Are you fucking stupid. I'm still in school, don't know about my plans after I graduate but you can bet I'll be a better position than your sorry fat fucking ass.
I lived at home until I had saved enough money to buy a place and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. "I don't date losers" is just a kid who thinks that having a boyfriend/sex/partying is much more important than planning for the rest of your life when you are young. IGNORE her...she's not worth your time.

i don't plan to ever stop trick or treating
people will get to know me every year as "the sad thirtysomething who dresses as a ghost" and then they will be nice to me and get me a king size bar or one of those big bags of skittles

Proverbs 19:5, "A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape."
Meade has blasphemed and lied. Can he stop all the lying?

Imagine if the author of this post from 2007 had a clue it would still be the state of things in 2019.

this was written when Meade was in his late twenties.
He is now in his mid forties and little has changed.
this isn't just a few years of slow devolpment...this is three-sigma nut job stuff.
