I'm not going to do the horse, bros. I wouldn't even know where to get it. But I've always been fascinated by that stuff......ever since I read Naked Lunch for the first time in high school. And then I broke my hip-o and got to take oxycontin-o for three months. Even if you take that stuff the way you're supposed to, after a while you'll be in hell. But the thought of it still makes my mouth water. I guess it's a good thing I have no street smarts, otherwise I might have started finding ways to get it long after I stopped needing it.

FACING YOUR FEARS: HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY PERFORM EXPOSURE THERAPY
HOW AVOIDANCE FUELS ANXIETY AND HOW EXPOSURE CAN TREAT IT
Exposure is the most important behavioural technique that you can use to help you overcome anxiety-provoking situations and your fears. Exposure is based on the assumption that anxiety is maintained by avoiding the feared situation as demonstrated in the figure below.

Event

Anxiety

Avoidance

Thus, you learn that the only way to deal with the feared situation is to avoid it or run away when faced with it. In addition, since you do not put yourself in the feared situation, you never have the opportunity to test whether the feared consequence comes true – that is, you never have the opportunity to test whether your fear is real! In essence, the principle of exposure is to deliberately put yourself in contact with the situation(s) or cue(s) that cause you anxiety. As you remain in the situation, you learn that the feared or negative consequence does not occur and that you do not have to
avoid your fear in order to feel relief from the anxiety. Thus, your anxiety diminishes or habituates with time, and with repetition it eventually extinguishes or disappears.

sometimes I worry about the universe expanding. I heard Michio Kaku say that the universe is expanding, like a balloon, and if you put a whole bunch of dots on the balloon before blowing it up, they're all really close together; now, if you start blowing up the balloon with the dots on it, slowly the dots, representing stars and planets and galaxies and so forth, will get further and further apart; the bigger the balloon gets, the further apart the dots will get, and supposing for a moment the balloon will expand infinitely, the dots will get so far apart that it would take miles to get from one dot to the next. This phase of the universe is coming: the Age of The Photon. Eventually the universe will become so sparse, that nothing will be left but photons floating through space. That worries me. Where do I fit into that picture?

Oh you do, do you?

Well, did you know that in fifth grade I killed a man with my bare hands? I buried him in a burlap bag behind a dune on Gilgo Beach. Then, in sixth grade I killed another man. Buried him just east of Jones Beach, in the thorny brush along Ocean Parkway. In seventh grade, I killed six more men and buried some of them in the Oak Beach vicinity and some on Fire Island.

Now, I'm just laying low, watching the police try to piece together my crime spree.

Oh, did I ever tell you that my arm was once bitten off by a lion that had escaped from a local zoo? Yep. My arm was retrieved from the lion's stomach. Apparently he hadn't chewed it up too badly; it was only missing a few fingers and part of the elbow. Doctors reattached my arm, added a few fake fingers and now I'm as good as new.

Tomorrow, I'll have to tell you about the time I was hitchhiking out in Oklahoma, got caught in a Cat 5 tornado and thrown around like a little twig. And, then there's the time I was kidnapped and ended up robbing banks after I fell madly in love with my kidnapper.

I've got more.

I have a dilemma. Was Frankenstein really misunderstood? I mean, he had the brain of a killer. So why are we made to feel sorry for him when he throws the little girl into the lake? I think he might have known what he was doing. If Frankenstein's monster was really a sympathetic character, they shouldn't have put in the part about him having the brain of a psychopath.

I also have a problem with any movie that's set in a foreign-language speaking part of the world, but the actors are all speaking English. I can't watch The Last Emperor because of that.
