Pet Peeves

What are your pet peeves? Some of mine would be...
- People talking really loud on their cellphones in public places
- People who put the toilet paper role on backwards
- People who eat JUST the hotdog bun when its specifically made for hotdogs
- People who don't take the time to get the snow off the top of their car and it flies off, hitting my windshield
- People who don't pick up their dog's shit
- Riceboys that think everyone wants to race them
- Dickheads in their luxury cars that think they own the road and don't use their turn signals
- Garbage men that carelessly toss around your recycling bin
- People that always have too much to drink and you have to take care of them the rest of the night

I'll give an office pet peeve.
On Friday's, my firm has basically donut/pastry day. They do it in three of the largest conference rooms on various floors. Usually a good spread - donuts, bagels, muffins, fruit, butter, flavored cream cheese, etc.
Its a nice gesture by firm management - basically for the IT folks, mail room, secretaries and paralegals (in the old days, it was attorneys and consultants only which tended to do nothing but further the resentment between the support staff and the professional staff...(it was also a much nicer spread then, too)).
Anyhow.....I usually get my favorite - a nice chocolate crossaint. Well, until recently. Turns out that there is a new, HUGE, secretary in the firm. Not only does she show up early at this thing (she usually comes in at 9:05 - every day except Friday, of courrse), but she also takes at least three or FOUR chocolate crossiants. She mashes one into her maw, and then leaves with the other three.
Oh well, its probably for the better. I've switched to a multigrain bagel (light butter).

People who will not help keep the break room clean. WE have a rule if you use it clean it pretty simple. This one guy to get around this rule will ask others to get stuff for him. Like for instance if he needed something out of the frig he would ask whom ever was standing there to grab it for him. If he wanted to keep his lunch in the frig same thing. So when it comes time to clean the frig he ask when did you see me use the frig and claims he has never toyched that frig. This guy is a complete ASS.

I never had a problem with groups who pool money for office coffee. They did that at a previous job, although the coffee was miserable so I quit after the first month. Now we have free k-cup coffee which is a great perq/perk.
