Threads that Failed
Posted by: Mr. Misery ()
Date: January 04, 2011 02:47PM

some threads do well--some take off like a shot and burn out quickly--others build slowly and stick around for months on end (the "Dani Diesel hot or not" thread still baffles me for its longevity)......but sometimes, a thread just falls flat.

this is my most spectacular failure thread:
http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/366302/366302.html#msg-366302
I thought it would be a fun little thread with people contributing, bantering, and just having a good time overall.....instead, it got one reply, then died a quiet death.

What was your most spectacularly failed thread? Post them here. We all have one or two under our belts. Here's to the threads that failed.

Mine is probably this one:

http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/477162.html

That being said, I am out of here too. It has been fun FFXU but it is time for me to bid a fond adieu, because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

My password was farts, if anyone can change it, I would be eternally grateful.

I like FUNdamental, he's a pretty benevolent person on this forum. Can't say the say about King Tutt/Harry Tuttle.

It is not about who you like it is about raw numbers. Don't let your feelings for FUNdamental cloud your ability to see objectively. In my rough count, FUNdamental seems to start more threads that people have no interest in whatsoever.

If I'm doing something in the threads that you don't like, you can always write me a personal message.

because I want to be able to start a sentence with the words "my wife...", or "my wife and I...." it seems like a wonderful thing to be able to say.

and no, I am not ugly. I see ugly men with women all the time, anyway. I do have a fat head, though.

I hate to do this, because eesh is an albino, but +1 good buddy.

People rarely understand the commitment they make when they get married. It's likely that one of them will regret it later. Then when you think about what a nightmare divorce is.... it makes you wonder what the point is. Why bother? Just be "married" under the table.

Albino animals are awesome, albino humans are the work of evil that should be sent to concentration camps to be studied and experimented on.

Blessed are the murderous.

Aww... eesh! Don't be so hard on yourself, buddy!

One day, you'll see just how great of a person you really are! Once you get passed this awkward transitioning phase, you'll learn to be comfortable in your own skin...

try suicide by dheydration, bb. It's rearly done, but it works. Just don't drink ANY fluids, whatesoever. Eventually you will become delierious, pass out and die, painlessly. It's how I plan to go when the time comes.

Judging from your bizarre PMs, I'd say you are the one that needs to work on getting past some transitional phase.

Blessed are the murderous.

whatever you do, don't use fierarms to do the deed. The conswequences for failure (though unlikely) are devastating and disfiguring. According to this guy, hanging is the most reliable method overrall.

http://www.suicidemethods.net/

this guy wrote a virtual 'suicide cookbook'. Naturally, it's out of print and copies go for in the hungdreds of dollars on amazon or ebaby. But if youre gonna do it, you need to be informed. Do your research, or you'll fuck yourself up and regret it.
