A 2002 Jaguar S-Type isn't a real Jaguar. It's a Ford knock-off:

I think so. Mr. Barry is no dummy - he just does dumb things. After all, his 2002 Jaguar was getting a bit old. And, what a better time to get it replaced? Jaguars don't hold value at all like a BMW or Lexus, they have steep de-appreciation. He probably won't see more than 12k or 13k for an eight year old Jaguar.

He'll get probably enough to buy a similar replacement car with similar mileage. $12 - 13K might still be a bit steep. I think you can find better 2002 Jaguars than the S-Type in that price range.
