Give these Canucks some credit. Besides the obvious Rush, there are some pretty good bands to come outta the Great White North. I see a stupid VH! special or an XM station coming out devoted to this forgotten genre.

Every Canadian I've hung out with has always really been into The Tragically Hip. Please don't post that shit here.

I don't know if this band would qualify as good, but they've been around forever and now are sorta tragically popular.

Haha, I forgot about Anvil, I never knew them to be Canadian. I had a buddy in Alexandria when I was in high school who thought this band was the best thing since toilet paper.

I heard they were the topic of a full length documentary recently, but I haven't stepped up on that one yet.

I saw that -- "Anvil: The Story of Anvil." It's surprisingly great, actually.

I'M A FIVE-STAR MAN!!

I saw it. It's actually very good. They are living the true Spinal Tap story. At the end of it, you can't help but feel sorry for them and be inspired by their passion to succeed despite all odds - all at the same time.

Don't know why but everytime I think of Anvil, the band Riot comes to mind. May or may not be Canadian, I think it's just from the same era.

I like that chick in Feist. Sexy soft, little squeak voice and limber body. That other tune she had was stuck in my head for a while.

Ah, just heard the chorus of the video, didn't know it was a cover tune until then.

"there seems to be a queer...why? To try and further demean a defeated... dumb Tea party... I think we need more... far left folks on a regular basis - Louis Farakhan, Jesse Jackson...Al Sharpton" - Registered Voter, 8/19/2011

Interestingly enough, LOverboy was formed from the remnants of a far superior band no ones ever heard of Moxy. Late Deep Purple and fusion guitarist Tommy Bolin played on several of their tracks

Aldo Nova comes up on Youtube as a related search. I forgot about him. Total Canadian. Jon Bon Jovi should give this guy royalties for life, he's mentioned his influence and he has some songs that are very derivative.
