always been a stander, myself. In fact, it came as a revelation to me when I first realized there are people who wipe sitting down.

i stand, its hard to clean windows any other way. although there is one exception, if it is a low window, sometimes i'll sit to rest my tired legs.

Saying you wipe standing up makes about as much sense as shitting while standing up.

I would assume all guys stand when wiping (I do); girls sit or squat and wipe forward after peeing ( I've never seen a girl shit, so I can't help you with that one).

I've just seen women do it after PEEING while they are still sitting on the pot. I don't think they were wiping from all the way in the back. They do it both ways when peeing...end of story

I stand up with just a bit of a bend in the knees and the lower back. This way you can wipe a little deeper, for better cleanliness.

I wipe sitting, didn't realize people wiped standing, doesn't seem to make much sense as the shit will get on your cheeks once you stand.

I have a bidet too, but that's only practical if you're at home.

Once I had a conversation about wiping - in most parts of the world they use their hands and water to clean their bums. What stuck with me (though I still don't subscribe to it) was - this man said - "look if you got shit on your fingers, would you use a tissue to wipe it off? or would you clean it with water?" - I thought that was a good point.

I disagree bec I have a bidet it makes me half-gay or drive a miata...I didn't build my house - it came w the bidet when I bought the place. I do use it mind you. So if using a bidet makes me effeminate so be it - label away.
