Czech NHL goalies?

I'm a new fan of ice hockey and have noticed many HNL goalies are from Czechoslovakia. Certainly somebody on FFU must know why! Thank You!

They like to recreate by playing ice hockey instead of jumping on trampolines because everyone knows that Czechs cannot bounce.
