Xbox with 250gb hard drive??

I'm thinking of getting my kid an Xbox for Christmas. I'm not a gamer, so what is the advantage of the 250GB hard drive? What do you store on that space? If it's possible to download movies to it, then I'm up for that.

I have an xbox and have yet to even come close to filling up my 20GB hard drive. My son on the other hand has no problem utilizing his 250GB drive to the max. He downloads TV shows, special add-ons to games, movies and all kinds of shit. He's always bitching about not having enough room.

If you use it just for games, it's not worth it.

Agree with Warhawk, if you are just saving games, the larger hard drive is not worth it. Only if you are using Xbox Live, Netflix, Zune, etc. will you need the 250GB.

The larger drive is beneficial for copying the game discs to. It keeps you from having to listen to the annoying hum of the DVD drive spinning.

They note that the 250GB drive is good if you plan on using Netflix or other services to download movies and store them to watch later. Then you will need it for sure. The version with 4GB is fine for just gaming - although I know on my 250GB I have already used more than 4GB of space without movies.
