Newegg.com - $405.42

Ritz Watches - $373.96

Jacob Time - $380.96

Anyways, I don't think most people would advertise the fact they just bought a Citizen. If you want to impress people with something as superficial as a watch, save up for a Movado or a TAG Heuer.

-------Bottom Line------- You're a tool.

Great, then you could have gotten a brand a little bit more prestigious than what they sell at a JCPenney's.

I love Timex, and I've never gone wrong with them.

Here's my dream watch for one day:

Every now and then, this site has a good deal:

http://www.chronoshark.com/

It's a different watch every day. Today is a Techno Marine, but I've seen some nice Citizen Ecodrive watches up there for cheap. It's a reputable site.

Citizen and Seiko make the best watches per dollar, although they aren't as prestigious as a high-end Swiss mechanical.

Breitling Aerospace
Breitling Colt Ocean
Hamilton Venture
Hamilton Linwood Glassback
Couple of Casio's and Citizens.

Don't diss Citizen timepieces. They are nice and a good value overall. The one the OP showed is a little busy for my tastes.

And the guy who is dissing Citizen cited a Movado as a higher-end timepiece? You dunno what you are talking about. Movado is merely costume jewelry.

Tag Heuer makes a decent watch though and some really sick ones in their top of the line units n the $50-100K range.

I'm not dissing Citizen as I am dissing dika-dika for thinking he's man about town for buying this. Oh, and Movado is just as good as TAG Heuer.

Come on, this is going to turn into Lexus vs. BMW vs Infiniti vs Audi argument. They all have their own value, and one watch brand is not completely better than another.

Bro-in-law gave me a Rolex Datejust like this http://www.luxurytyme.com/articles/datejust1a.jpg - I don't wear it. Also have a nice Seiko - don't wear it, either. Have some sort of Citizen - don't wear it as well. Use my cell phone as my timepiece if I'm not in front of a computer, otherwise use that.

I always thought that was funny; when used to tell time a cellphone is just a fancy pocketwatch, and pocketwatches were replaced by the wristwatch.

O.k. eesh. So..you Google all day and know this and that.
And this time you know all the shit you need to know about good watches.

But you never answer the original questions yourself.

What kind of watch do you have eesh?

I only wear a watch when I dress in suit and tie, which isn't an everyday event. I never wear a watch in casual clothes, I have my cell phone.

So..when you wear a watch it's when you "dress up".

What kind of a watch do you wear when you dress up.?

We'll ignore your retarded spelling and grammatical errors for now, what's important is that you think it's impressive to spend $500 on a watch.

I have several mechanical watches, inclduing two nice Swiss models, but the most accurate mechanical watch I have is a $10 plastic military Timex that I bought in the early 90s.

And the most accurate watch I have? A Citizen light-powered quartz watch, not one of the fancy atomic clock signal watches, just its internal clock.

Money doesn't translate into accuracy.

i have never worn a watch.

I know what time it is from my cell phone.

Watches are not about telling time anymore. They're "arm jewelry" and status symbols.

I purchased a Suunto Vector for timekeeping and functionality. It's a beast and quite ugly. Considering that my hobbies are backpacking, whitewater kayaking and disposing of bodies in remote wilderness areas, I find that the Suunto's compass, barometer and altimeter are quite functional for my purposes.

That's Buzz Aldrin, not Armstrong. Lay off the tequila maybe?

These days, most astronauts wear Timex. Ironman's are very popular. I know several astronauts.

I don't wear a watch. They irritate my skin. I use my phone for time.

What's the difference betwen wearing a watch on the right hand
or the left hand?

Is that a glass bottle with labeled measurements ?
I could use that as my new urine bottle and start charting fluid measurements in addition to the current color and tempurature log I currently keep.

There are watches for left handed people which have the crown at the 9 o' clock position, are made specially to be worn on the right hand by left-handed people

Unless I'm traveling, I don't usually wear a watch and instead use my cell phone as a time piece. However, I do own three watches: a 1969 Bulova Accutron 214, an analog Timex Indiglo, and a Glycine Lagunare Chronometer L.E.

If watches could talk, the Timex and Glycine would have the most interesting stories to tell.

LOL I hate getting tan lines around the watch, it's one of the many reasons I stopped wearing them. Oh yeah, if anyone still though bloody blisters and I are the same person, our forearms look totally different.

A left handed person. That watch will drag when you write and it can be pretty uncomfortable.

I don’t wear a watch.

Time stifles creativity.

I just drift through life, using the sun, the moon and the behavior of animals to guide me.

Co-sign'd. I generally have two clocks on me at any given time. A third one on my wrist would be half-past redundant.

Tag Heuer not sure of the model but it's blue faced with metalic bracelet sticker price 900 I think got it as a gift some years ago.

Also have my dad's all gold Baume Mercier from the 70s but that stays in the safe deposit box.

As odd as it sounds, I'm right-handed and yet I've always worn my watch on the right wrist.

When I did wear a watch, I usually had a stainless steel Seiko. Respectable and reliable. I have never been into "bling," per se.

LOL. Swatch didn't just make those gaudy plastic watches. Before I got my cell phone, I used to wear a Swatch dress watch like the one below. I had two actually, one black and one gray. I liked them, plus they had a store in Tysons. I hated metal wristbands and refused to spend more than 100-200 on a watch.

Haven't worn a watch in about ten years though. One more reason to love the cell phone.

The funny thing about Swatch is that so many other Swiss luxury watch companies are owned by the Swatch Group, including Omega.
