Has anyone here signed up and won any auctions? It seems kinda scammy but if anyone has first hand experience tell us.

Swipebids is run by internet con man Jesse Willms, out of Canada. There is info on him all over the internet about all of the scams he has going. It's good reading and everyone should research him to learn just how many scams there are and how easy it is to get scammed.

I am not sure about swipbids, but probably not unlike zeebid.

In zeebid, you bid approximately 1 cent to 25 cents above the last bid. If no more bids in x period of time, you win.

That is why they advertise cars going for $300 and flat screen tvs going for $86.

The trick is you have to pay for the privilege of bidding, 50 cents or 1 dollar per bid. If you get outbid, that money is gone. So the guy who "won the flat screen tv for $86, Zeebid made between $4000 and $8000 on it or more.

And that is if you win. They have been accused of having bots outbid an item to keep people bidding. And real life testimonials are few and far between.

This is just the tip of the iceburg. It used to be easy to google his name and find things but he has inundated the net with web pages about how great he is, and they fill up the first several pages on google. he really is an evil genius when it comes to the internet.
