Fairfax questions for trivia
Posted by: Butch Haney ()

What is the deepest body of water in the county and how deep is it?

What is the tallest building?

Where is the tallest tree in the county?

Where is the oldest tree in the county?

What is the longest continuous road in the county? (the road name must not change along it's entire length, and interstates do not count)

What is the oldest building?

Where is the most remote point in the county? (measured by distance from roads and buildings)

Potomac

The tallest point is Trash Mountian. I bet they even have a shack up there, so that would be the highest structure.

The answer to every question is:

Who fucking cares.

There are plenty of places around the county, especially around streams, that have never been plowed or leveled in any way. At those locations, the age of the trees is dependent on their lifespan and whether or not lightning will pwn them.

Yahweh,
The deepest body of water in the county is actually Occoquan Reservoir. The Potomac is part of Maryland.

Yes, King George gave the Potomac River to Maryland.

And I believe the highest pint in Fairfax County if not the highest building - is the Tysons Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Oldest tree - shall we cut some down to count the rings?

Actually I thought the deepest body of waters was Lake Barcroft which reaches close to 68 feet in places.

Interesting. So, where does MD start? On the shore of ffx or 100 feet out?

The low water mark on the VA side of the river marks the border. The entire riverbed is MD property.

If VA wants to stick a hose in the river to access fresh water, they technically need approval from MD.

Would it be incredibly anal to point out that it wasn't one of the King Georges that gave the Potomac to Maryland? It was actually Charles I.
