When this was first reported they said it was a meth lab, which would be a pretty big deal because they blow up all the time, right?
But, what do we know about dmt? For some reason I wouldnt think it would be as dangerous of a setup.

No, I don't care what type of drug it was. I just don't think the average student that has the facilities to get accepted into Georgetown would do something like this.


I'm sure the three that set up a drug lab were there on sports scholarships. Think Michael Vick and Virginia Tech. Would he have gotten in any other way??

1. There is no mention of it in any article. If they were athletes, it would be mentioned.

2. Because people on athletic scholarships probably wouldn't be interested in DMT or even know how to make it.

1. No shit there is nothing in the articles about being athletes; It was conjecture.

2. Because no one on athletic scholarships has ever been a criminal, a drug user, or worthless student. All people on athletic scholarships are upstanding students that could have gotten into the college based on their academic performance.

They aren't likely manufacturing drugs. Besides, you just proved my point. If they were athletes, at least one of the numerous articles would have mentioned it. Curiously, there was not a single mention of being an athlete. Why? Because they aren't.

They were "honor students" from Andover, Massachusetts. It was in this morning's paper. No mention of athleticism. One was not charged (probably the one who had a name we might recognize).

Experimenting with drugs is a lot different than making a drug lab on campus. If they were this brazen on a crowded campus in the middle of a city, just think what they would have done after college.

But, really. I think the media has hyped this up a bit. A meth lab is one thing. I have never made dmt or meth so I cant really say, but I doubt this [dmt] setup would be as dangerous as a meth lab. Not safe per se, but not nearly as dangerous.

these kids went to my school and are nerds, not atheletes. they were good kids who probably just were at the wrong place wrong time.
