Did you not give a chance to think of why there was no other team on your designated field?

Pfft.. What a rookie and a waste of beer

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Speaking of "steal the ball" I am going to write of another recent experience.

Hi Expensive Jeans,

Well I loved your story. Just don't get caught drinking beer in a park. But it is great that you like sports. Just for a split second there, I kinda got the feeling that you were going to say you disliked the sport. Instead you seem like a real leader!! Do you really play cricket? I hope your team wins next week. You are a very good writer. From now on I will read all your posts. But who is Reston Church? At first, I thought it might be a team captained by Reston Peace. He is one of my favorites on this forum.

Hugs, Trickie

Oh dear, Expensive Jeans, I hope this was a fake story. You never want to spend time with a young child who you do not know like this. Some people would totally misconstrue it. Especially since you are a guy. Perhps the other kids were taught not to speak with strangers as most children are. What was the prescription for? I take lisinopril form high blood pressure. My doctor won't take me off it even though my blood pressure is normal now.

One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said, "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late.

Trickie,

I can assure you the story was fake. I am however on benzodizapam anxiety drugs - i.e - Xanax and Klonopin. I have a mild anxiety with agoraphobic tendencies.

I hope you think no less of me as a result of my condition.

I love children, and again, this was a short work of fiction.

Congrats, Bubba! You're the first to catch on.

I'd rather be rich than stupid.
