Elton John, did he did alot of drugs

Hey all, He is a great musician. I am just wondering if he did any hard core psychadelics or anything cause he always eemed to have some crazy outfits on stage.

He wears crazy outfits on stage because he wants to be a woman. many of the outfits are dresses and getups like divas wear on stage. Plus he is married to a man. These types tend to be flamboyant.
